After moving the site to a new server, I have a new problem.  HTTP uploads work fine.  The thumbnail page of the Batch Add Files page shows all the appropriate thumbnails, but when I click on [Insert Selected Files], it does nothing but take me back to the directory selection page at the start of the process.  I upgraded to 1.4.9 and that changed nothing.  I'm using a theme that came with the upgrade.

I haven't found any solutions by searching through the forum.  I followed the instructions for upload support and have created the following user:

     Username: Tester
     Password:  coppermine

What else should I do to help you help me?

Why did you upgrade to an ancient, deprecated version. Most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.14

Test user accounts are much more helpfull if we had a link to the gallery it can be used on ::)

Should be on the current version now.  Still can't get the actual inserts to go like before.

After logging in with the test user account you provided and clicking on the upload link I got "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files". Stop playing hide-and-seek and do as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs. Make the needed changes. Post a deep link to one of the files you're having issues batch-adding with.

I am not playing hide-and seek.  I am trying to fix a problem.  I did my best to follow the instructions provided.  I had no idea you would run into a problem.  Forgive me for living and not knowing all the intricate details of your testing procedures.

I have created an album called Test Album and tested another user in the group the test account is in and was able to upload a picture to it.  Again, my problem is not with the HTTP upload, but the batch upload.  I'm hoping you can help, but I'm thinking y'all may not want to since I don't get what you're wanting from me in order to help me.

Any particular reason for not doing as suggested:

Only reason I can come up with is I have no clue what you're referring to.  If I understood all the ins and out of the scripts I wouldn't be asking for help.  Assuming I get all your instructions is at the root of our miscommunications.

So can I.  Problem is, Coppermine won't insert it or any of the other pictures in that directory.  The tiny images show up when I select that directory, but when I click the button at the bottom of the page, it simply takes ne back to the beginning of the Batch Add process where you select the directory.  No errors are presented or any other indication why it doesn't work.  This is why I'm seeking assistance, though I don't seem to be able to jump through the right hoops.

This is indeed strange: on the third screen of displayimage, the URL parameter "insert" is being populated (URL: http://fcckewanee.org/galleries/searchnew.php?insert=1), and according to debug_output the corresponding variable $_GET['insert'] is populated as well. However, the script jumps to the first screen of the batch-add wizard and displays a list of folders within the albums folder. I'm not sure what may be the reason: I suspect a hardening patch oin the server or a corrupt file. Get a fresh copy of the coppermine package, unzip it and extract the file searchnew.php from the package. Upload that file to the server, overwriting the existing one on the server. Then try again.
Another thing you could try is the MassImport plugin.

maspick

Thank you.  I will try your suggestions.

The replacement searchnew.php did not solve the issue.  I'll look into the MassImport plugin.  I have gotten JUpload to work.  I guess you can mark this as solved, so to speak.  :(
