Hi, all –

I'm trying to create an album that requires a password to view. I am setting the "viewed by" property to "everyone," but it doesn't seem to take -- when I return to the album, it says "only me."

1. am I going about this the wrong way?
2. why isn't this behaving the way I think it would?

Thanks...

Oh: the gallery is at:

if anyone wants to look at it.

That is both normal and as described in the documentation. What are you trying to do?

What I was trying to do, was to limit access to this album to people whom I give a password to.

Since my original post, I created a new user, granted that user access to this album and eliminated the album-specific password. This accomplishes the same goal, but...it would seem simpler to just give an album a password. Perhaps, though, this isn't how coppermine is intended to work?

Thanks...

If you have a password then the group level access is not relevant. Anyone who knows the password has access regardless of group.
