Dear all, I am new here, but I have been using cpg for about half year and I am very satisfied with it. If I don´t know something, I visit this forum and everytime I find a solution. So many thanks for all who developed this great stuff and for all who are giving their advice..

I have only one question, that I was not able to find solution anywhere - can I install several coppermine galleries into one web page?

I have my photos of nature and cities where everyone can see images, rate and write comments and main page consists of album thumbnails, last upload and random image.. it is located in eg. www.myweb.com/gallery
But I would like to add images from parties, trips etc - everyone can see these images, but only registered users can write comments, rate picture and upload their own pics and on mainpage there will be only album list with thumbnails. I don´t want to mix photos of nature with these party pics, so only solution I see is make another folder and install new coppermine gallery here - e.g. www.myweb.com/parties.
Etc etc for other folders and galleries that can occur in the future..

Is it possible to do this? Is it optimal solution? Won´t be mistakes or problems here?
I am not a web code programmer, I am only familiar with basic html tags, so maybe it´s a fool question, but it will help me a lot. Thank you..

You can install as many copies as you like. Just remember to either install them into different databases or specify different table name prefixes during installation. Also, you should use different cookie names in config.

As Nibbler said, you can have as many galleries as you want, but to accomplish what you're up to (allow public access for some albums and private access for others), it's not necessary to have to different galleries - you can accomplish this with one gallery, as you can toggle who can see what gallery and who will be allowed to rate and comment on a per-album basis with just one single coppermine install. Don't forget that multiple galleries multiply the administration effort as well. Additionally, multiple galleries eat up more space.
