confused on settings..

I'm trying to get squared thumbnails and I'm uploaded the mod.

My settings:

Quality for JPEG files      80
Max dimension (width) of a thumbnail **      100
Height of a thumbnail (if you use exact)     
Use dimension ( width or height or Max aspect for thumbnail ) **   Max Aspect Height Width Exact   
   
Enable Custom Thumbs (movie, audio, document)  Yes  
Enable Mini Thumbs  Yes   
Mini Thumb Width     60
Mini Thumb Height   60

the underlined part which should I pick?

I go in to 'admin'  & Update thumbs and/or resized photos (1) but it doesn't work

Set width and height to 100 and use 'exact'. If it doesn't work post a link to your gallery.

heres my site but I seem to have lost the thumbnails and the one I do have has not larger image

Make sure you have permissions set properly. Everything under /albums/ needs to be writeable to be able to rebuild thumbs.

all permissions were changed from 755 to 777

Should I remove the images that have the problems and re-upload them?

So I removed all images and reuploaded them but some of them are still being squashed rather than cropped.

The images with problems are much bigger than 100x100

That's not correct - the link you posted is http://www.megynpricediva-host.com/gallery, which is not correct. In a previous posting you said that the URL was http://megynprice.diva-host.com/gallery/, which seems to be more accurate.
That site is running cpg1.4.18 - it's mandatory to upgrade! Do so now. Most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.19!
