Hi Everybody,

My Coppermine installation is displaying some strange behavior, and I am at a loss as to what is going on. I have been using Coppermine on an XP WAMP installation for over seven years now. I have stayed current with my updates and never really had any major issues with Coppermine. I recently had to move to a Windows Server 2003 machine running IIS 6. I have installed MySQL and PHP, restored my databases, and restored Coppermine to an almost functioning state. I say almost because the majority of the functionality works, but many of the admin functions do not. You can browse the gallery just fine (http://everettcomstock.com/photo), but when you attempt to add a new album, you press the "Apply Modifications" button, get your modal popup, and then nothing happens, not even an error. Even in debug mode I receive no errors. I am not able to batch add any files to the site, and when attempting the image thumbnails are not being created. Navigation is often wacky when in the admin portion of the site (ex. I press the categories button, but the site redirects to the page that it is currently on).

I appreciate all of the time you guys put into this board and I am not writing in hopes for a magic fix, but I was wondering if you could give me some advice on where to start debugging this problem. Unfortunately these errors do not throw exceptions, and they are not logged. One step that I have taken is to install a fresh copy of Coppermine on this machine, with a completely new database. The same issues exist with the new site as with the old. This makes me think that it may be a configuration or permissions issue. I have set full permisions to the IUSER and IIS_WP accounts but no luck.

I have to get back to work, but I appreciate any feedback in regard to my issue,

Thanks,
Everett

You have cpg1.4.20, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.21. You should upgrade asap. You should test as well wether you have been hacked. If the problems you describe exist on a vanilla install as well we should be able to rule out migration issues. Maybe your server was locked down too much. As all of the "weirdness" happens for the admin, there's little we could look at, so please send me a PM after aupgrading to cpg1.4.21 with an admin user account and I will try to look into your issues.
