Hi everyone.
I've been using the gallery for several years now and everything was going just fine,
but recently, each time I try to change my configuration and validate, I get a white page
with a login/password enquiry, and once I have filled in my data, I only get another
white page with the CPG credit line and nothing else... Then, if I reload my page
it's as if I hadn't changed anything.
Could anyone help me, please ...

Could you please provide a link to your gallery? Otherwise we can't help, right?

Actually your gallery's link is: http://www.zegorg.com/gallery/

Anyways, I'm not sure you suffered a hacker attack but you have to update right now to avoid one (if not you have already been hacked...)

Update right now, you're running more than 20 versions behind.

By the way, before I upgrade, I run a moded(Stramm) version of copermine...
Will the mod carry to the new version or do I have to take special steps to make it so ?

The output indeed looks like you have been hacked, so you should read and apply the thread "Yikes, I've been hacked! Now what?". You're actually running 11 versions behind, but that doesn't matter much except that you have been reluctant to upgrade for a long period, so your gallery has been vulnerable for a long time, which means in turn that it's very likely that your site already was hacked.
Not related to initial install - moving accordingly.
