I set up my gallery on 5/24/09 and have uploaded photos but as of today I am not able to log in.

You should re-start by uppgrading your version of Coppermine. What you are running is
many revisions behind the current release.

Quote<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.18 (stable)-->

Afterwards you might find your answer by performing a search on this board.

As you only recently set up your gallery and the fact that you are using an old version I am guessing you used an installer provided by your host.

Either way, download the latest version from this site and upgrade using the details in the docs. If you still have problems come back.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

I downloaded the file "init.inc.php" file to my server and now I am unable to add any photos to any albums. Now when I go to my Administration Tools Page and do a check version after I uploaded the file and it says that I am using 1.4.23. I am not able to compare and it shows this error "Unable to connect to online repository". Is there an easy way to upgrade. I tried to upgrade with the zip file by putting it on my server but that made things more confusing. ???

Yes, we even wrote the method down. Into the documentation that comes with Coppermine. That documentation is available online as well - you just click the link named "documentation" at the very top of this screen.

Uploading the zipped archive is of course nonsense. It needs to be extracted first. Again: read the docs. In fact, you're not even allowed to post here if you haven't read the docs first.
