Hi I had a problem where  my content stopped working. So I deleted coppermine and reinstalled and replaced the config.inc.php file and my albums. It worked 80% but there is still a few jpegs that wont show up. I created a temp user and password so u can see what I mean. I am going away for a week and could use help fixing this before I go.Thanks for your help http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/index.php   log in user name: jolinz password is copper. I had posted before and the thread was moved and now I cant find it so if some one can just take a look and give me an idea what might have happend or how to fix it.

Link is not worksafe. In the future, post a warning with non-worksafe links.

Doing a right-click, properties on one of the embedded, broken images (http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg) send me to https://supremecenter48.com/members/login.php. That's not a matter of coppermine, but a matter of webhosting. Ask your webhost for support.

What do you mean by work safe ? I dont know what happend the images worked before ? What exactly should I say to my webhost ? they arent always helpfull. I do appreciate your help Joachim this is very stressfull thanks for the fast reply

OK I know what u mean by work safe and I appoligize I did not no the term. I messaged my host but I am sure they  will just say its coppermine related. I will continue to try and solve this but if there is anything u can suggest to help please do so thanks.

Hi for some reason some of my image files are not working. for example its trying to find the image in coppermin/albums/userpics/10001/thumb_money.jpg when the image is actually in coppermine/albums/videoclips/10001/thumb_money.jpg is there a way to edit the rout where to the image is stored ? instead of reuploading the images to the other folder ? thanks for your time.

Entering the URL of an image (http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg) into the browser's address bar and being sent to https://supremecenter48.com/members/login.php simply can not be related to coppermine. It all depends on how you ask your question. If you your support request starts with
QuoteI have an issue with the coppermine-driven gallery on my site
, you will almost certainly get a canned response from your webhost that they do not support third party applications. Ask the right questions and you will get a good answer for sure.

Any not existing file (e.g. http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/does/not/exist.jpg) sends you to the login screen of supremecenter48.com, so the redirector for the 404 not found page is wrong, that's probably all. Tell your webhost to review this thread if you're not sure what to tell them - from my replies they should know what to do.

I have merged that posting into this thread, since it deals with exactly the same issue we're discussing in this thread already. You originally started that as a separate thread of it's own, which is totally uncalled for. Additionally, you have broken board rules once more by not doing as suggested in the board rules thread and not posting a link to your gallery (together with a warning) although you should have done so in your new thread (not that it matters now that I have merged them).
I already tried to explain that this is not related to coppermine and therefor can not be solved by the support staff here. Do as I suggested and ask your webhost for support. You might have got hacked as well and have a redirector in place (again:something not related to coppermine).
Please respect board rules in the future!

Yes regardless of the problem when u click on an image it looks for it in the user pics file when in fact the images are in a file I made called video clips. So how do I tell coppermine not to look for the image in userpics but change it to look for it in the folder I made? or can I not change an image location ?

Not at all unless you change the way coppermine works, which requires good coding skills.
You reply is invalid. Is your initial issue solved or can this thread be closed. We have a strict "one issue per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up. I already have refered to board rules and I won't do so again: read up board rules now and respect them in the future. If you don't, you will be banned.

No My initial issue hasnt been solved just diagnosed. All I know is some images have changed file location to default. I need to know how i can reroot where copper mine finds that image to tell it to find them where my other coppermine images are. If you cant help me with that then yes close the thread and I will start fresh. I appoligize if I have broken rules on the board I will reread the rules. peace

The test user account from your initial posting doesn't work, so I can't check. The file http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg still redirects to https://supremecenter48.com/members/login.php, which is not related to coppermine, but improper server setup. Fix that first. You better stop inventing words from computer slang and using them for unrelated things, as that only makes your postings hard to read. If your issue is that your coppermine database contains reference to images that no longer exist on your webpsace because you deleted them, then the answer is: restore the missing files or edit the database records (using phpMyAdmin or similar) to point to existing files. Not related to coppermine neither. Marking thread as "invalid".

Look I understand that ur busy helping people with there problems but you dont have do be ignorant in every response. Not just me but I have read other posts you responded too. You might be a coppermine pro but when its somthing you are unfamiliar with are u as ignorant when u need assistance ? Stop talking like your king shit I doubt face to face you wuld talk like that.I have appoligized and you havent helped at all. yes the test accound isnt active because all the problems you suggested are irrelevant.when u click on the image http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg it goes to my host yes so how do I change it to http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/videoclips/10001/money.jpg the image is there not in userpics. I can start fresh but then  I loose the views ratings and comments. How this happend I dont know if I can fix it great if you wont help I will redo it. As far as reinventing pc lingo I am sorry if I do not know the proper terms for  MY problem. I always give respect so Id appreciate you showing some. If you dont want to help or have any negative things to say then just dont respond I am sure there is others that would be happy to help.

I told you what you need to do:
Quote from: Joachim Müller on July 04, 2009, 10:28:27 AMIf your issue is that your coppermine database contains reference to images that no longer exist on your webpsace because you deleted them, then the answer is: restore the missing files or edit the database records (using phpMyAdmin or similar) to point to existing files.
Let me rephrase: if the file http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg is not there, but reference to it still exists in coppermine's database, you have two options: either restore the file http://www.masterbanks.com/Members/albums/userpics/10001/money.jpg or remove reference to it from the database using a third-party application like phpMyAdmin. Instructions on the usage of phpMyAdmin is beyond the scope of this board though. Since you manually removed that file from your webspace, you need to manually remove the record from the database as well. The recommended method would have been to delete both the file from the webspace as well as the database record using coppermine's user interface, but you haven't done it the recommended way. Therefor, you need to do things the hard way. What else should I say? That's all the support I (or anyone else) could give. Expect answers, not miracles from supporters. If you don't like the answers given, then ask yourself what you could do to avoid your issues in the future (hint: reading the docs in advance before blindly deleting files from the webspace). Insulting a supporter just because you don't like the answer is pretty lame.
