Help!!!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, I promise I looked around the forum properly first.

I'm trying to delete some pictures in my gallery so I can replace them - but when I try and delete them, I get this message "Directory 'albums/uploads/photoshoot16/' is not writable, files can't be deleted,"

I have not touched the files on the ftp, as I heard you shouldn't do that. I just wanted to delete them via the built in pic and album deletion functions of Coppermine.

I believe I'm using Coppermine Photo Gallery v1.4.25!!!

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

8. Post links
When posting a support request, it's helpfull for supporters in most cases to see what the actual page looks like, that's why it's mandatory that you always post a link to your coppermine gallery page when asking for support. If your site contains adult content, make sure to post a warning together with your link!

Supporters might get into issues if they accidentally visit a page that interferes with their employer's internet policy. If your site contains adult content (even mild nudity even falls into this category), post the words "not safe for work" next to the link.
, which should be pretty self-explanatory imo.

If you get the error message
QuoteDirectory 'albums/uploads/photoshoot16/' is not writable, files can't be deleted
, the reason probably is that the folder is not writable for the script. To fix that, set permissions on the "albums" folder and everything within as suggested in the docs.

Hey peoples, I am in need of some assistance. I keep getting the "Files not writable and cannot be deleted" error after attempting to delete an album. I have read through the forum I have tried the following suggestions:

  • changing the permissions (no help)
  • deleting the file from my ftp and it was not even there(obviously did not help)
  • I even tried looking for the hidden .htaccess file(was not there)

Every thing i have tried so far has failed. So I appear to be out of options at the moment. Hopefully one of you generous people can help me.

I am also having a problem with my main gallery only showing categories. Every time i click NO!!! it defaults back to yes... I do not want any albums to show on my main page, only the categories. so if you can help me with this i would be quite grateful. I have obviously attached a screenshot of the error. and here is the link to my gallery www.teamcrxsolfl.com/Copper/index.php

Thank you in advance for your help.
