xp_publish problem

hello,

i have a problem with xp_publish. i am using the newest coppermine release.
it is my second coppermine installation. my first installation (an older release) runs fine!

i doesn't work on my win 7 pc and not on my xp client. on both the first installation and upload runs fine.
also the normal file upload with the web menue is fine. but the xp_publish doesn't work.

win 7 error message - windows live photogallerie
before i can login with my credentials i always get the message:
"A connection to the internet could not be found, or the printing company tried to display an invalid page."
"Click Cancel, check your internet connection, and then restart Order Prints to try to place your order again.  If you continue having trouble, try using a different printing company."

xp - i get the message after the message "can not log you in try again"

both installations run on the same webspace provider.

where i should start for troubleshooting? which information should i provide for you so you can provide a better help?

i have checked the php variables.
upload_tmp_dir  =  no value 

is this a problem?

Afaik here has to be a valid path. I wonder that normal uploads work with that setting

"no value" means the temp directory of the OS will be used. This is normally fine.

I personally have never tested that feature in cpg1.5.x.

now i am using 1.4.14 (i don't found a 1.4x to download, so i take the latest version from my hd) and it all works fine...

i hope there aren't any security problems with this version.

There are some security issues with that version. Instead, use cpg1.4.27.

Same here.  I do the order prints thing with windows live gallery and I see the login form.  Entering valid credentials, I get Login Failed.

Something is going on at line 642 in xp_publish.php as if I hard code my credentials in $cpg_udb->login it works just fine.

Do you have any non-alphanumeric characters in your username or password?

Actually it ended up doing nothing even though it said it was sending files.  Off to do more research.

I've been able to get it to work.  For some reason the CPG_SELF just printed out the gallery url and did not include xp_publish.php so the form action would look like 'http://gallery.tld/gallery_dir/?cmd=publish' for all the steps in the wizard.  I hacked mine to work but it probably isn't the preferred method.

OK, fixed a few cases when $CPG_PHP_SELF was used when not in scope.

Everyone with xp_publisher issues please test with the updated version of the file - r7981.
