Not!  :wink:

Well, it was worth a try...
Read the Online DOCs,FAQ, and SEARCH the board BEFORE posting questions for help.

Quote from: "John"nice pic jasendorf.

About the comment tarique made, it would be good if there was a clear guide, I would very much like to make CPG themes based on the default board themes, eg. sub_silver

Ok! Ok!

Verry short:
Make a new dir under coppermine/themes eg. /subsilver
Create a new subdir /images under /subsilver
Copy all images from the original phpBB/templates/subsilver/images to coppermine/themes/subsilver/images

Copy from coppermine/themes/default all files except the image dir (styl.css, template.html, theme.php) into the new created /subsilver.

Further you need to edit template.html to suite your needs. All between  <HEAD> and </HEAD> must stay there delete the rest. Go to overall_header.tpl and copy the contend into template.html, except the header section. Go to overall_footer.tpl and place this contend at the end.

Replace all metatags from phpBB to point to the right imagepad under coppermine (else there are no graphics).

Place

{GAL_NAME} :: {GAL_DESCRIPTION}
{MAIN_MENU}
{ADMIN_MENU}
{GALLERY}

where do you like it (mostly the middle section).

Enough for now  :wink:. Have fun...
DaMysterious.

You're an angel, Da!!  And you draw good, too!

Thanks!!

John

DayMysterious!!!! where is your credit for your fine work!!!!?

maybe you should put "theme by" on all your work yes?

Joachim Müller

@DaMysterious: slow down, I hardly can keep track of your themes - seems like you do them faster then I can upload them to the demo... :wink:

GauGau

P.S. Nobody but moderators can post in the mods board - this is meant to be like that; if I opened it up it'd be flooded with mod requests... I'll gladly move this thread over.

John

@gaugau: perhaps a place to post themes and their discussions? I look around for damysterious theme threads and notice they are in different places :(

For your comfort I wil announce only once a week.  :wink:

Meanwhile everybody is free tot take al look what's going on about new themes (scroll to bottom).

I have no problems with that.

You're right - I just searched your theme-related posting and moved them all here.
I think you're a great artist when it comes to theming - I'd like you to have more privileges on this board (I'll discuss this with the dev team).

Maybe you're even interessted in joining the dev team as "theme guy" at some stage? What do you think?

Here, under powered by coppermine:

http://www.aussierats.net/coppermine/index.php?theme=lipstik

maybe you should put "theme by" on all your work yes?

Why should I? All themes released under GNU license (theme.php). Use the themes, play with them, modify or throw them away. I'ts Your choise. Ok, Ok. You'r right, I'll never become a rich man this way, but that's my choise  :wink:. If there is a special copyright notice on a adapted theme it is mentioned and everyone have to admire.

PS: nice that you love 'Lipstik' but please remove the text and gallerylink to my site. I don't love that actions.
DaMysterious.

GauGau

Hi GauGau,

Let me explain somthing GauGau. I use Coppermine after testing dozens other GNU-Gallerysoftware. One stuk on 50 albums, another on 10.000 pictures, the next slows down at 15.000 pictures. CPG fits my needs and I'm verry happy with Coppermine. As I wrote on the old forum I do contribute and share as thanks to the team. Nothing more. I don't whan't/search any title nor status. The only thing I like to be is a member of this community.

I noticed two minor cosmetic issues (which aren't bugs of any kind, but just a matter of taste):
- in "anime" theme, there's no space between the menu items in the admin menu. Proposed fix: change stylesheet - look for class "topnav"
- in "Floral Brown", there's a scroll bar when viewing the full-size pop-up (tested with IE6 on W2K and Opera 6.01). Proposed fix: look into margin/padding attributes

Of course such beauty has a price: those themes can only be recommended for broadband portals and such - the page load is huge...

Thanks for the hint I should take a look at it. This poup behave is also found in 'Fruity', 'Giallo' and 'Hardwired' on my machine. Is this a IIS problem or prorogramming fault of me? Other question, I like the popup's without any panels of IE6. How en where to change this behavior.
DaMysterious.

Joachim Müller

the scrollbar issue isn't your fault - this comes by design: the pop-up is opened based on the dimensions of the full-size pic plus 16 pixels in width and height. If your stylesheet defines margin/padding values of the body that make the pic not fit in, the scrollbar is shown. To increase the space around the pic, edit displayimage.php and look for        $winsizeX = $CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pwidth'] + 16;
        $winsizeY = $CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pheight'] + 16;
Change the value "16" to something bigger (you'll have to experiment a little).
You could also re-define the margin/padding attributes for the full-size pic:  edit displayimage and look for</head>and add before it<style type="text/css">
body {
margin:0px;
padding:0px;
     }
</style>

-----------------------------------

If you want to strip the pop-up of everything (scrollbar etc.), edit displayimage.php and search for        $pic_html = "<a href=\"javascript:;\" onClick=\"MM_openBrWindow('displayimage.php?pid=$pid&fullsize=1','" . uniqid(rand()) . "','scrollbars=yes,toolbar=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,width=$winsizeX,height=$winsizeY')\">";Change it to        $pic_html = "<a href=\"javascript:;\" onClick=\"MM_openBrWindow('displayimage.php?pid=$pid&fullsize=1','" . uniqid(rand()) . "','scrollbars=no,toolbar=no,status=no,resizable=no,width=$winsizeX,height=$winsizeY')\">";, but keep in mind that if you have full-size pics that are bigger than your visitor's screen resolution they won't have a chance to see the whole full-size pic (because of missing scrollbars).

Solved at +35.

Quote from: "gaugau"
margin:0px;
padding:0px;

Added to style.css.

Quote from: "gaugau"toolbar=no

That was where I'm searching for.  :)

Hint:
For all my themes I did create a new class and add it to style.css to have more control over this feature.

.anycontend {
                                color : White;
                                font-size: 90%;
}

.anycontend a {
                                color : White;
                                font-size: 90%;
}

.anycontend a:hover {
                                color : White;
                                font-size: 90%;
                                text-decoration: overline;
}

Call the above with class="anycontend"

Thanks.

I can't see the navigation in the egyptian theme (which I like a lot) - see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/demo/?theme=royal_egypt
Is this a bug or did you leave it out on purpose?

GauGau

Joachim Müller

The new themes have been added to the demo (see bottom of the demo page for the theme selector)
