Clean install of IPB and Coppermine but I am unable to view E.Cards???
The other problem is the gallery/images/nopic.jpg, I have tried repeatedly to insert one of my own images but it keeps coming up with the default.
Online and running at http://www.photochallenge.ork.uk

1) no double-posting (I deleted your second, identical posting)!
2) only one question per thread!
3) your site is obviously not http://www.photochallenge.ork.uk , but http://www.photochallenge.org.uk
4) When trying to enter your gallery page from the link on your home page (that points to http://www.photochallenge.org.uk/gallery/albums.php ) I get an internal server error (which means you set up something wrong)
5) As you disabled eCards to be sent for unregistered users, provide a test user account (non-admin)

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

(1) I tried to delete the second one myself but could not due to your forum settings.
(2) Very sorry, I did not realise that it was this restrictive on here, SORRY.
(3) Spelling mistake, again SORRY.
(4) I did not update the index file, yet again SORRY.
(5) Why not sign up in the forums and you will have an account?

Is it just me or does it seem a bit hostile in here???

Casper

Not usually hostile.

No need to keep saying sorry.

The 1 question per thread is to make searching for answers easier for all.  The double or cross posting rule is because everu post gets read, and we don't want duplicate effort put in to answering the same question.

We will not sign up to every users gallery when they ask for advice.  I do not want the hassle of 10 or 30 sign ups per day, and having to pass my email address to sign up is not on, so we simply require that people supply us with a ready made test user account (not admin).

The nopic question.  Where are you placing your copy?

Did you have a look at Casper's and my signature? The both say not to PM unless asked. We're making efforts to help you, it's only fair that you do the same and supply the data needed for support in the way we need it to be.

So I should post the user name and password I have set up for Casper on here???
Would you???

Casper

There is no risk whatever in posting a test user account on the board, as long as it's not an admin account.
Then testers can look at the problem, and when fixed, you can delete the account.

Your ecard worked fine for me, I sent myself one and it arrived as expected.

Have you tried renaming the pic you want as your nopic to that, nopic.jpg, and using it to overwrite the one in the images folder.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

murphyz

yes.

example:

username: test
password: coppermine

That way anyone on this site, admin or not, can log onto your site with that name and see if they can help wiith your problem. The user you provide should not have admin rights and can be deleted when the problem is solved. It's basically the same as one of us registering with your site.

These boards are here for people with problems, and if someone has the same issue as you it would be a great help if they find this thread and see how it was resolved, this is one of the reasons why all solutions should be through the board and not through PMs.

As mentioned above, ensure it is a simple user account, not admin, and then no random user can do any damage - it's just good to allow anyone of the board who wants to take the time to help with your problem be able to get onto the board as a user and see the problem first hand.

Help us help you.
