Does anyone here use Globat for hosting?

I was able to install Coppermine without any issue. I created my first album and ftp'd some pics to albums/Family/Album1. I then went to use the batch per the documentation. I was greeted by this first pic:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freddytown.com%2Fimages%2Fimage1.jpg&hash=9c9bc93bdedc4d0c00ea9182942c85739a249814)

Thinking that my refresh might be off, I continued and was greeted by this pic:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freddytown.com%2Fimages%2Fimage2.jpg&hash=32603dbbf33b8d2b0688469e7b68f95ab0cae9bf)

And I checked under my album, there weren't any pics there. So, I tried the upload. I picked a .jpg file. Found the file and clicked coninue and was greeted by this pic:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freddytown.com%2Fimages%2Fimage3.jpg&hash=43ed99b1ee2a019171ed5854d88bab4f58a9c21a)

Everything looked good, so I continued  and got this screen:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freddytown.com%2Fimages%2Fimage4.jpg&hash=e080d7487ebed7ee47c9a8950b2428af7e692c00)

Thinking there was still a refresh issue with my host, I decided to continue and got this:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freddytown.com%2Fimages%2Fimage5.jpg&hash=4e2459a13d4562f04215f6f39e11b61256b49c3e)

The URL is gallery.freddytown.com and the required folders have been CHMOD'd to 755 and I created a temp folder under the url per one of the posts and I still get these. Also, this has it's own db.
If this is a dupe post then please :slap: me and post a link to the fix. Thanks

There might be file size or resolution limitations on your server. The file names "DSCFxxxx" hint that you're trying to upload pics taken with a digital camera - maybe they're just to big. Please try uploading a small, known-good jpg file for a start (you could take one from our demo) and check if this works. Please post a link to your gallery as well, together with a test user account (non-admin) with upload permissions.

My Gallery

I PM'd you the login and password and enabled debug for the login. Thanks. 8)

Also, I tried a smaller file, 250x356/16.9K, via the Upload function and still got the same indications.

Please read my signature, I won't answer/react to PMs I didn't request to be sent.

I wasn't expecting a reply or asking anything further than what has been discussed in this thread, just sent because I didn't want to post the login/pass. Sorry.

The policy on these boards are;
No support is given privately.  The dev team will only answer PM's for support if they have asked for them, with confidential info, such as ADMIN account details.  Unless told otherwise, test user accounts should be non admin, and the details posted on the board so all supporters can try and help. You can always(should) delete these test accounts when support no longer needed.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

tayker

Nevermind, going to try something different. Thanks for all the help. ;)

tayker had your problem already been solved?? i'd like to know how because my problems are the same!!

Joachim Müller

tayker's status is "guest", which means he has deleted his own account on this board. By saying he was trying something else I guess he meant he was going to try another software.
If you need a solution for your problem, read the thread and do what the supporters suggested to tayker.

Hello I checked with debug on single file upload admin mode and got
++++++++++++++++
The file 'albums/userpics/10004/dscn0554_lj.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 126

Cmd line :
/usr/local/bin/convert/convert -quality 80 -antialias -geometry 133x100 'albums/userpics/10004/dscn0554_lj.jpg' 'albums/userpics/10004/thumb_dscn0554_lj.jpg'

The convert program said:
sh: /usr/local/bin/convert/convert: Not a directory

File: /home/sites/site3/web/fotoalbumgallery/db_input.php - Line: 304
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I tried changing to GD2 and got

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed

File: /home/sites/site3/web/fotoalbumgallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php - Line: 194
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Please contact your web host and ask the exact location of convert.....

[update]
I set the location of convert to  /usr/local/bin/ and it is working - you may change the username and password

haha i will, but I have never said it ;)

@Devs - the multiple file upload form does not give a proper error if path to IM is not correct - I propose we set the default upload mode for admins to single file upload - this will save a lot of headache for many users
