I finally got the gallery running but when I upload an image it won't even let me view the picture or thumbnail. Instead the picture is replaced my txt.  picture.

  • Post a link to your page. I guess it's http://meygan.freelinuxhost.com/coppermine , but I don't like guessing.
  • When addressing upload issues, it might be helpfull if you posted a test user account (non-admin) with upload privileges, so we can test for ourselves
  • Supporters are less reluctant to help if they can see a user has at least tried to look for help properly. Posting a support request on the "general discussion" board when there are several support boards your question should go into is not very clever. Using a subject line like "please help" isn't very clever either. Pushing supporters by additionally labelling a thread "urgent" isn't nice. What's so urgent about a coppermine gallery being under construction? You are not getting so many visitors a day yet, I guess it's no life-or-death thing... ;)
  • You're apparently using cpg1.3.0 - you should instead be using cpg1.3.1, as it's the most recent stable version (that cures some bugs that existed in cpg1.3.0)

P.S. Moving this thread to the proper support board

Sorry I was really upset that day and I didn't think anyone will answer so I put urgent lol. But I won't anymore. I'll ask in the support board for next time also. Oh and  you guessed right, that was it.  8)

I redownloaded the themes file and I found it missing a few stuff so now it works great, also I changed my images to jpg and it finally worked. But does Coppermine support .art images because mine wasn't working. :(

Coppermine can only support .art files if uploaded as documents, not as images, because neither imagemagick nor GD can handle them, AFAIK.
They are images that have been saved using AOL's own double compression feature, and most image software cannot handle them.  You can use some browsers to save as BMP.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Great, bmp is fine. I just didn't want to send each file to my photo shop and change them to jpg  seperately.

I recommend batch-converting your art files before upload into something that fits better to the web - jpg recommended. BMP is producing way too big files, as it's not using compression. I have no art files to check, but I guess you could batch-convert your art images using IrfanView.
