I have a "General" Category, and one of the Albums in it contains WMF video files. I have also uploaded JPG thumbnails of each of these video clips.

In the Album display, the thumbnails work well.

All I have in the main Categories display in index.php though, is a very small white square.

I have tried to change the thumbnails in the Album Properties / General Settings options, but with no luck.

How can a more useful thumbnail be displayed?

Posting a link might have helped. Without an actual link all I have is a blind guess: you're not using cpg1.3.2, but a previous version which had a similar bug.

it sounds to me as if you are talking about the category thumbnail.  You can change this in the category manager.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

1.3.0 actually, but it looks like an upgrade is needed (can anyone keep up lol)

Will the 1.3.2 version cure the problem?

we still don't know the url of your page - since the issue is not clear for us, we can't tell if upgrade to cpg1.3.2 will solve any of your issues. ::)

the URL is www.ukmartin.com/coppermine

I did the upgrade to 1.3.2 and the problem fixed itself in the process. Welll there's another good reason to recommend the latest version, if nothing else.

Thanks again for your help
