Dropdown box with all albums

I noticed a option:
Method of changing picture sizes @config.php
Now, is this an option to resize existing pictures? Or what else? What's the difference between GD en IM? I've been looking for a very long time now, but I haven't found a mod yet to resize existing pictures/during the upload (HTTP)... Can anyone help me?Oh, maybe a last off-topic question: Does anyone knows a hack to make a dropdown list at every page to go to another album? Such as in an PHPBB forum, where you can jump from categorie to categorie when you are inside a topic
