It comes up as black on grey for me in both FF and IE.

Well I could see it earlier, so I rechecked, and it is black on mid-dark grey, which is readable, but does not stand out.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

confirmed, now it's back to black on dark grey - good enough imo. Keep it this way please.
