I am getting this after doing an upgrade.
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/craftcards/public_html/cards/include/init.inc.php on line 263
http://craftcards.82au.com/cards/
Followed all the steps explained in the doc but something isn't right?

Did you make sure to replace ALL the files in your install except the 2 mentioned in the docs, include/config.inc.php and anycontent.php.  Install.lock should also be saved, but would not cause this error.

It sounds as if some files were not replaced.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

All better now!

When I was originally uploading the upgrade files I was getting an error saying the disk quota was full. I had the site limited to 10mb so it was full. The file dates were being changed and not the files themselves. So I asked the ftp app to sync the files but it went off the dates and the ones on the server were newer so nothing got updated. When I looked at the file sizes on the  server and my computer, I noticed the server files were always smaller. I then re uploaded all the files (after addressing the quota issue 0 removing the limitation) and then the site worked fine!
