PS I know where the files are I just have no idea aobut php, I know html, a bit, but the php file does not have a previrew and shows me where to put the html code

Or any text editor, really. I've heard of issues with WYSIWYG editors though.. probably unrelated.

lsgworldl

is there a mod to add banners to coopermine yet?  :P

Joachim Müller

static banners can be added easily in template.html, no mod needed. Dynamic banner rotation scripts can be added as well, modifying theme.php. Search for "custom header" / "custom footer".

is this version out of date? and can I update the one I have with a script of some kind?

Joachim Müller

what do you mean by "this version"? What are you talking about? CPG1.2.x is outdated, yes - you're encouraged to upgrade to cpg1.3.1

go to coppermine config, you'll see what version you use at the bottom of the page.

Actually, gaugau was talking about the admin config page, but it is at the top, not the bottom.  All versions except the very original one have this.  See the screenshot below.

but as you see, you have version 1.2.0
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

does the new one have a front page like this website and is it easy to set up, can I have multiple gallries using the same db, ie front page with links to galleries for example I wanted three galleries, for example, cars, boats, airoplanes, but I wanted them as a gallery on there own and not in one big gallery, I want them to use one db, is that possible, I dont know how else to put it, I guess the best way is to say top level galleries, or do I need a db for each gallery?

Casper

The answer to your questions is yes, and yes, you can.

But this is not the place to be asking these questions.  We have a 1 topic per thread policy, so please search for the specific answers to these questions, or if you can't find them, ask on new threads.
