user management / hide of albums for defined groups

hi there

its really great stuff this software. but one thing i didn't find out. is it possible to hide some albums for several groups.

example: i have 2 albums: privat and public. the privat should only be visible for the private group, the public is visible for all?

This is easy now.

now select who can view, as here;

If you wish to have albums that only some members can see, you need to create a group for them.

here I have created a group called 'superuser', who will be able to see albums that normal registered users cannot.



Now you need to change the permissions for the members of this new group.  Edit the individual users properties.

If this group is to have more priviledges than registered users, make sure that the 'registered user' box is still checked, if it is not, they will not be able to see albums set for registered users.

Admin will also need to check this box for themselves, which means another admin has to do it for you, or create another admin name for yourself, and check all the boxs (not banned) so you can see them.

your description is ok til the point with the "permissions for this album". i have only the last three points starting with "visitors" but not the point "album can be viewed by". i have version 1.2.0 and i am in the admin-mode. any idea?

yes, this option is only there if you have the config set to;
