I am trying to move my gallery to a new server. I used FTP to transfer all the files from one server to the other and have succesfully installed the SQL database. However, I am still getting some sort of error. It can be seen by going to www.stephenmaury.com/images. As you can see, there is all sorts of code at the top. Any ideas where this is coming from and how to fix it?

Nibbler

The files have become corrupted during the transfer. Try re-uploading them. You can use fresh files from the download package if you have no mods, just be sure to retain your config.inc.php file.

I tried uploading the files again, but it is still doing the same thing. Any idea why the files are getting corrupted?

Joachim Müller

What FTP client did you upload with? Make sure not to use some crappy software like MS Frontpage. Make sure to user the proper FTP mode.

I am on a Mac so I am using Transmit. Everything else I have uploaded seems to be working just fine. I was able to move the other part of the site (which uses WordPress) without any problems.

Nibbler

Replace your coppermine files with fresh versions from the package as suggested.

I would have done that right away, but I am having trouble installing that as well. My server uses fantastico so I use that to install Coppermine. I am able to install it just fine on my main domain, but this is an "add-on" domain. When I try to install it on there, I get this error message:

The installation can not be completed:

- You need to upgrade to at least EDGE 10.4.0-103 in order to install.

I have contacted my host about the problem. They are now contacting someone else about it.

Stramm

Yes, nothing else you can do about it

not Coppermine related
