after uploading i recieve a critical failure

exec function has been disabled by your web host. Either switch to GD for thumbnail creation or ask your webhost to enable exec, though GD is recommended.

CHMOD as suggested in the docs. Re-create the edit folder within the albums folder if it doesn't exist. Search for the error message you get for details, as this has been asked and answered very often already. Go through the search results from oldest to newest.

Last problem solved by replacing the edit folder in albums by a new one
at first it was impossible to replace it and by trying it again it worked.

updated 1.3.3. by 1.3.5  found manual in the download, in the docs folder
canged to GD for thumnail creation
replaced edit folder in album folder

contacted web host and they disabled exec function because of security???

so thanks  problem solved
