Hello all,

Very very new to CopperMine, but slowly figuring it out.  The version I'm constantly working on, can be found at http://www.outofmindstudios.com/Gallery/.  I want to change it, but I just don't know enough about it to figure out how (or if) it can be done.

What I want, is to remove the User Galleries.  Maybe.

The structure I would like/require is:

ARTIST NAME (Category)
  Sequentials (Album Or Category?  Sub-Category?)
    Dark Corridor (Um.  Sub.. album?)
      Thumbnails
    Whiteout (Sub-album?  Album?)
      Thumbnails

ARTIST NAME (Category)
  Sequentials
    etc
      Thumbnails
    etc
      Thumbnails

Am I making much sense here?   :P  Would appreciate any help with this.  Thanks!

Charon

Well, slowly figuring it out myself, but still require some help.

Since I'm eliminating (or will be) the User Galleries, is there any way that I can set it so that, say, artist DEVON JOPLING can only upload files into the DEVON JOPLING gallery?

Charon

Continuing to figure this out.  Have seperate categories with final albums assigned.  So that's all good.

But is there any way to set it so that certain users can only upload to certain categories?

(Sorry.  Is this becoming a totally different question here?)

Abbas Ali

No it is not possible that certain users can upload to certain categories. This has been asked and discussed quite often. Searching the board might help.

I did try searching the boards previously.

Is this the sort of feature then, that will be added in the future?

Abbas Ali

Certainly not in the next release. But is under consideration, cannot say anything for sure.

Fair enough.  Thanks!
