how to delete "my gallery", "rating" and "favorites"

[minipoett]

hi everybody
for my site  i do not need "my gallery", all the "rating"-tools and "favorites".
how can i do that. i already read in the faq how to delete a feature like "e-card", but this doen`t really  help me.
for "my gallery" and "favorites" it could be only deleting the links in the menu?? how ? and what about the rating?

[minipoett]

sorry, i missed these entries somehow. but now i saw them and tried and tried and tried.... and failed.
this is what i did:
copied this from theme/sample/theme.php:

addbutton($sys_menu_buttons,'{MY_GAL_LNK}','{MY_GAL_TITLE}','{MY_GAL_TGT}','my_gallery',$template_sys_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{TOPRATED_LNK}','{TOPRATED_TITLE}','{TOPRATED_TGT}','toprated',$template_sub_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{FAV_LNK}','{FAV_TITLE}','{FAV_TGT}','favpics',$template_sub_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{SEARCH_LNK}','{SEARCH_TITLE}','{SEARCH_TGT}','search','');

and pasted it in theme/mytheme/theme.php: but where exactly? so it lookes like this now:

Code Select Expand

// HTML template for sys menu
$template_sys_menu = <<<EOT

i think it is a kind of right, but not really. now my menu and submenu looks like this:

// addbutton(,'Meine Galerie','Gehe zu meiner persönlichen Galerie','index.php?cat=10001','my_gallery',);
      Startseite             Benutzer-Modus             Datei hochladen             Abmelden [admin]
// addbutton(,'Am besten bewertet','Zeige die am besten bewerteten Dateien an','thumbnails.php?album=toprated&cat=0','toprated',); // addbutton(,'Meine Favoriten','Zeige meine Favoriten an','thumbnails.php?album=favpics','favpics',); // addbutton(,'Suche','Durchsuche die Galerie','search.php','search','');
      Alben-Liste             Neueste Uploads             Neueste Kommentare             Am meisten angesehen

i must have missed something, but what is it??

[minipoett]

oh my god, i also just realized, that the rating tool for each pic is still alive. so i only kind of deleted the top-rating-link.

[minipoett]

i just deleted the following out of themes/mytheme/theme.php (which i just pasted there):

addbutton($sys_menu_buttons,'{MY_GAL_LNK}','{MY_GAL_TITLE}','{MY_GAL_TGT}','my_gallery',$template_sys_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{TOPRATED_LNK}','{TOPRATED_TITLE}','{TOPRATED_TGT}','toprated',$template_sub_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{FAV_LNK}','{FAV_TITLE}','{FAV_TGT}','favpics',$template_sub_menu_spacer);
addbutton($sub_menu_buttons,'{SEARCH_LNK}','{SEARCH_TITLE}','{SEARCH_TGT}','search','');

now, no problems any more with my menu, but i also read somewhere, that i should not delete it. may it have consequences for me in the future? but i don`t know what else to do.  of  course, i saved everything before.
and still, any suggestions for the removing the rating-tool??
sorry for beeing so penetrant, but i want to understand how these things work.
here is my link: www.panopti.de

[Stramm]

Admin menu -> groups -> under 'Permissions' set 'Rating' to 'no' for the groups that shouldn't see the 'rating-tool'

[minipoett]

yeah, i think i was too much in changing scripts... and forgot the easy way to solve this problem. thanx for the help.
but i`m still a littl worried about my deleting szenario and the consequences.
