how can i change the desc' of User galleries
on index???

use a tool like phpMyAdmin that let's you edit the content of the mySQL db entries. Find the table cpg11d_categories and edit the content/value of the very first category entry (by default the name is "User galleries" and the description text is "This category contains albums that belong to Coppermine users."). You can enter any text (be it english, hebrew or any other language).

Forgive me if I'm being stupid and missing something, but why not just do admin mode/categories, then edit the category description in the same way as other categories.  This is what I did.

Or did I miss something in the question?
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Yep I think you are absolutely right! I checked it myself because i couldn't believe this simple way (I thought only the user gallery's which where added by myself or my users could be changed in that way  :P ). But it's working.... simple as that  :P  :D

hehe, sorry: you're right. This didn't work in earlier versions of coppermine, you had to use phpMyAdmin; I forgot that it has been fixed.
