I run my own server Windows XP and Apache, I have been using Coppermine for about 2 years and love it, I want to install Image GD but am at a loss with it, I have ImageMagik installed which was easy but GD is not so, does anyone have a link and download on how to do this, I have been to GD website but it's not worked for me.

Thx

PHP comes bundled with GD2 - go to http://www.php.net/downloads.php
Self-hosting is not recommended. This board is not the best place to look for help on server-setup.

download GDV2 here
http://www.boutell.com/gd/http/gd-2.0.33.zip
and then just extract the folder in your webservers directory and then set it up in the config in coppermine gallery

That does not work.  PHP must be compiled with GD support - you can't just upload the GD files and expect it to work.  kriptap, please disregard Vargha's suggestion.

The PHP packages that exist for Windows already have GD support built-in, there's no point in re-installing it. You just enable it in php.ini, but it's already there.
Vargha, no hard feelings, but kegobeer is much more experienced than you, he knows what he's saying and he's absolutely right. The fact that downloading GD worked for you doesn't prove anything, as it must have been there all along, so you can call it coincidence if you want. Won't solve kriptap's issues. Review http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#WhatIsGD
Support is already hard enough, please don't make it even harder.

@kriptap: you're strongly encouraged to upgrade asap, support for cpg1.3.x will be running out pretty soon.
