We need more information. Are you trying to upload from admin or registered user? Batch Add or File upload? etc..

Please be descriptive in posting issues. Also post a test user (non-admin) account information.

yes i am trying to file upload from a user account.

Isn't the gallery installed yet? It takes me to installation page.

The user needs to create atleast one album to upload pics. He can do that by clicking "Create / order my albums" after login.

Alternately admin can create public albums (by modifying album properties and groups page) where the user will be able to upload photos.

If I make an album " Visitors can upload files *" set to Yes.... is a "visitor" my members or guests who are not registered on my forum?

EDIT:- actually... nevermind the above question. I am unable to uplad ANY images whilst in user mode? I get the error stated in the title of this topic, and have read the links in replies and the instructions....? ???

Everything works as expected - I was able to create a test user gallery and upload a file to it (see http://www.girlpowerforum.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-40). What's the actual question?

Vargha

He is a she ;)

She probably wants to create public albums and do not want user's to have personal galleries.

@Snowbaby: If this is what you wanted then i have given you the links on how to create public albums. If not then reply with what you want...

www.ilconsiglio.org/coppermine/index.php

Name: test
pass : test1

I have read all the threads and tried to troubleshoot onmy own but once again..I cant seem to get it.

please help.

Paver

@MidnightSilk: I'm guessing you don't have "Personal gallery" allowed on the group manager page.  At least for the test account, you do not.

MidnightSilk

oh sorry one second. LOL when it works i was planning on just setting it for no personal..give me a sec

...

ok done

Paver

No personal gallery is fine.  But then you need to allow public uploads on at least one album and allow public uploads on the group manager page as well.

That's the thrust of this thead, so I assumed you wanted personal galleries.
