Sorry I did not reply eailer, but was in Saint Louis for 2 weeks, and yes that is what I got, and I am wondering if it got hacked, because it worked until 2 new members joined...

Sami

you need to change the password manualy by phpmyadmin...
open xxx_uesrs table from your gallery database and find the admin user with 1 as a user_id and change the user_password with 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6 in this way your admin user password is test

Thanks for your help, I do not seem to be able to edit the table and change the text...is there a trick to it?  Thanks

Sami

yes there is ...
you should unpack the attachment to the root of gallery and execute adminpass.php by browser
this file will try to change username and passwoord of first user of your gallery (user_id = 1) and then will give you new username and password
Please make sure to DELETE this file after account creation

Hello from a brand new newbieee.  Sorry but I am now having the same problem logging into admin.  It does not give any error but welcomes me like it is suppose to do. (Welcome Admin) But when it loads it does not give me the permissions of Admin.  I cannot do anything but view my folders.  I thought I had it figured out.  I logged onto my laptop and noticed that my husband had been logged in earlier to my gallery and when my computer came on from being off, his name was still logged in.  I logged him off and logged in as admin and it worked.  I have a wireless connection on the laptop.  I did have the permissions set for only one computer logging in with the same email account but he did use a different email address.  Like I say I was able to log on the laptop so I thought I would go back and try the desktop...no...couldn't do it!  Please help, this is where all my pictures are held!  I thought I was doing so well too!  Was quite proud of the gallery I have created, I am a member of a club that I am building this site for and everyone loves the gallery.  Please help resolve this issue!  Thank YOu, Jeanne :)

Hey Guys, host BlueHost fixed the problem.  I remembered after writing to you about the power going out the last time I logged in as admin.  Well, Bluehost told me to delete all my cookies and temp files and it worked!  So anyone else out there...it was a easy fix!  I love this gallery I hope it continues to work well.  Thanks!!

Jeanne ;D

Where is the file "adminpass.php" uploaded for a download? There are so many topics about this file and nobody says where to get it from. Thank you in advance!

The file "adminpass.php" is attached to the posting http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,33512.msg158620.html#msg158620
Found it by performing a regular forum search. No special magic applied.

Don't try to be a smart-ass. We don't allow hotlinking attachments. If I would have wanted that done, I would have done it myself. Those attachment links are not permanent. I edited your posting accordingly.

Hi,
I'm having same problem logging in.

uploaded "adminpass.php" to the "root" on the server (netfirm) by ftp
executed "adminpass.php" by browser
it gave me the "admin and test password" as mentioned in the post
not responding "*** Couldn't log in. Try again ***

Notes:
yesterday I upgraded to a newer version ... all went well
I uploaded and installed a new "theme_andreas09"... all went well
today I was having problems with uploading photos ... it said I had not enough space allocated
tried allocating more space... the setting did not respond to this
in config (admin) I clicked on "reset all defaults"
that brought me to a page that said "there was an error while processing a database query"
shut down everything, cleaned cache etc. from browser
went back to login page... the new "theme" has disappeared

very new at this and don't have much experience with databases. Also there isn't much on the database so... might be easier to just delete and start over with new install, but trying to find the fix is more fun than quitting.

Thank you... any suggestions would be appreciated.
