Login Problems.

Hi,

Hope you can help me, I installed cpg 1.4.8 yesterday and everything seemed fine. Today when I try to login in I get the welcome message and the continue button, but when I click continue it goes back to the login page. If I don't click continue within a couple of seconds it redirects itself to the login page.

I have used coppermine in the past with no problems but this ones got me baffled, happend a couple of days ago too so I uninstalled and reinstalled and took hours to upload the pictures again.

Apologies for being a bit "thick" and thank you in advance for your help.

I tried deleting the cookies and restarted my browser and it didn't work, Im still getting the same probs.

Anything else I can try? Thanks for your help

Your cookie setting is just fine !
check your local computer for any internet security App , such as ZoneAlarm or norton internet security ...
post a test (non-admin) user ...

I think your right, it must be my computer as I have just logged in fine at work. I will check into the internet security when I get home, I'm using AVG by the way so maybe there is some kind of conflict.

I recently had this same problem myself using cpg 1.4.9. Everything was working fine and then I couldn't login anymore. I would get the welcome screen and then I would get sent back to the login page. I could login on another computer though. I also use AVG for my antivirus, but didn't think that was a problem as it wasn't doing anything different from before.

I was able to solve this problem by opening internet options (IE7 RC1) and clicking on sites under the privacy tab. Here you can specify which sites you always allow to use cookies or which ones you block. I added my site to the allow list and the login worked correctly again.

I suspect I had this problem because I don't consistantly use the www prefix. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I don't. I got a message about this form IE shortly before the problem arose. I think IE labeled the cookie from my site as a possible privacy threat because of this.
