Okay, not sure how to explain this, but what I did was make up new thumbnail images for all file types. Now I'm trying to figure out where to put them so they are available for any album using that file type. Did I state that so you know what I need to do?

I have an album (Charts) to which I place various types of files for my members to view - mostly charts of music by section. Problem there is that sometimes they are in GIF/JPG format, others are in PDF format, or they may be another altogether.

Is there a way to have the thumbnail of choice display in that album irrespective of what format files it contains? IOW, if I have albums named Charts, Resources, Videos, Music, etc ... is there a way to have a thumbnail I make display there ALL the time instead of using a thumbnail for a file type that resides there?

Yes - I know I can select a file and click on "use this as my icon", but where the heck would I put my own thumbnails so I can select it for each named album!

No help, huh? Oh well .....

Looks like different software is on the horizon.

Hard to believe nobody has a clue on this:) Okay - fair enough...I'll delete my account here and trouble you no longer.

Well - can't find a way to delete an account, so if anyone who can do so reads this<?> ... feel free.

    * make sure you have given us enough time to react (days, not hours!)
    * maybe nobody knows the answer to your problem
    * maybe your question has been asked very often
    * maybe your posting has been rude or impolite and you're ignored for that reason
    * maybe you requested a feature that requires a lot of coding, and none of those who are able to do it have a need for the feature

Well okay - been a day. But then there have been many replies to posts done AFTER mine, so ...
Is it possible nobody has an answer for this? Well - not likely - but ...
Asked often? Searched with no results, so ...
Rude? Impolite? I guess that depends on your outlook. To me, no. To GauGau ... probably.
The last? Don't know how to respond to that.

In any case .... bye bye.

Right Bruce! >:( Like we haven't supported you fully with your many questions because of your refusal to search or read the documentation. I practically redid a theme for you then I upgraded your gallery for you at no cost one evening. If you think you'll get this kind of support elsewhere then please go and as one last support for you, send me your login info and I'll delete your gallery for you. No problem!
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.
