For some reason coppermine wont let me add gif's and I have it set to accept gif's in the settings....help?

If your server uses GD, it will not accept gif's, and if it uses imagemagick it will accept them, but the thumbs and intermediate are likely to be bigger files than the original.
This is because of licencing issues with gif compression.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
