Hello,

First of all let me congratulate to the team for this fantastic product! :) It was one of the easieset and fastest installs I had for open source softwares...

Let me head on to my question:

I would like to give my users a greater level of control on who can view their albums.

At the moment I can see that I can select "Public", "Private" and "Registered Users".

As I understand the admin can create user groups as well. But, can the user create such groups also?

Taking it further, would it be possible for the user to select distinct site users from a dropdown list of all registered users, or from the user group created by the member?

Hope I could convey my thoughts to you clearly. Please let me know if this is not a clear explanation for you.

Thanks,

Gyuri

Or if the user could specify some groups, such as friends and family, and these would appear in the drop down lists.

Is this currently possible?

Anyone developed it already maybe?

Thank you,

Gyuri

That is not possible using the 'album can be viewed by' feature, although I expect it could be modded. Best thing to do is use album passwords. People can then set the password and provide it only to those they wish to see the pics.

That is a very smart workaround!!!

Sometimes the solution takes no work at all :D I was already planning how I will mod the db queries and such :P

Hi Nibbler,

I also found the "Buddy Mod"...That is also something I will look into :)

Cheers,
