Hello!
Can you tell me, how to set the coopermine, so when any user uploads pictures, the album would me made in the main gallery and not in user galleries? How to set, so that any user can upload pictures to any album?
Thanks!

Joachim Müller

Non-admin users can not create albums in public categories no matter what. No mod/hack/workaround to circumvent this.
Not related to bridging, moving accordingly. In the future, please post on the sub-board that corresponds to your issue.

Gaugau.  I have a feeling I have the answer to this but here goes anyway.  Related to the above post, I have users taht i want to allow to upload to main categories.  I know that this is not possible.  But once they upload them, should not the administrator be able to move them?  It appears this is not possible, but just checking before I completely give up.

If the answer is no, then does Coppermine anticipate an update for this to be possible?

Thanks for all your support of this great free coding.  Unfortunately it may not work for me becaseu of the above but great work anyway.

Cheers, Colin.

Stramm

as admin create albums in main cats and allow users to upload into these albums (album properties/ group permissions)

I know that this is not possible.
You're wrong, that's not what I said. As Stramm suggested: regular users can't create albums in public categories. However, they can upload to albums that have been created by the admin inside the public categories.
Your question is not related to the original question, you shouldn't have replied to this thread but should have started a thread of your own.
