I've just upgraded from 1.4.5 to 1.4.10 to fix some issue I was having with my gallery.  The user galleries are back - excellent - that was the primary problem I had. Now I'm having another problem.

Documentation shows that you are able to move albums between categories by use of a drop down menu in album manager.  When I go into my album manager, in admin mode, I am not getting a drop down menu - I'm only getting an italicized "user gallery." Why am I not able to move this album (or any album) between categories?  Is it a glitch?  Any fixes? (the album and categories are all public - nothing is private - the gallery can be seen here: http://allamericanscrapbookco.com/gallery/)

Logged as admin did you click on the properties of a existing album ? Because when you do that you get a screen in which you can set the category etc.. As can be read here : http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#album_prop

That's exactly what I'm unable to get, when logged in as admin, clicking on properties of an existing album.  I saw that in documentation, and I cannot get that to replicate in my gallery.  Here is a screen capture: http://venus.walagata.com/w/fairchild12/cpg_error.jpg

That's a user album. You can't move those.

Is there any way to change an album from user to another type? (it's my album, and I need to move it to another category)

interesting topic.  If moving the user galleries is not possible, or a modification has not been written to accommodate that need, you could set up an identical gallery in one of those albums and set the keyword to your user album unique and set the new album created to one of the same unique gallery.  With that, it will display the pictures in your user album.

Is there a modification out there for this issue where you can place user albums within any album?
