ok so i want to change the look of the user profiles on my board but i want it to stay the same way for all templates

i want the fields to look something like this
(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg264.imageshack.us%2Fimg264%2F9158%2Fprofileih8.gif&hash=36b0150f1be2c22b382407daa98afd88817c27b4)

just the layout really i want seperate tables for the differant things not neccessarily all the same features this is pretty much a standard profile from vbulletin but i was wondering if it was possible to have one that looks similar in coppermine

reas0n

well gee guys dont all answer at once...this is my 4th topic on here with no response...thanks for the "support"

Customizing your site for you is beyond what you can expect from support.

Joachim Müller

From the FAQ: I've posted my question a while ago, but nobody answers. What the...?:
QuoteThe support board is not a hotline. Although there are many visitors to the site, only a few do actually support - on a unpaid, voluntary basis. Yes, we don't receive remuneratio for our contributions and we each have a life, a job, family and more. We are away sometimes, as well. So, please, be patient, read the docs and search the boards while you are waiting.

If you don't get an answer to your question:
  • make sure you have given us enough time to react (days, not hours!)
  • maybe nobody knows the answer to your problem
  • maybe your question has been asked very often
  • maybe your posting has been rude or impolite and you're ignored for that reason
  • maybe you requested a feature that requires a lot of coding, and none of those who are able to do it have a need for the feature
Options 1, 4 and particularly option 5 apply to you :o
We're not your coding slaves who immediatley jump to the rescue if you just ask for it.

1. i gave 2 days for this post and at least 4-5 for the others
2. never asked for anything in a rude manner
3. i didnt ask anyone to code anything for me ever i asked where i could find the code to edit it myself.....

i mean if you actually read my post you would understand that.
if there is a support site it should be supported or everything should just be labled No Support

Nibbler

What you are asking for is not support, it is customization. To edit the profile page you need to edit profile.php

cpg1.4 themes/skins/templates
Changing the visual appearance of your coppermine site. Look here.

ok so if im not supposed to ask for SUPPORT in pointing me in the right direction to CUSTOMIZE my site MYSELF where should i do that???

Nibbler

Why are you being so difficult? I already said that the file to modify is profile.php.

reas0n

lol which part of profile.php as there are many sections in this file and i said early i dont know where to edit i tried a few things but none of them seemed to work,

and on another note im being so difficult because you guys attacked me for asking for support in the support thread i mean that was uncalled for on top of it you guys called me rude for asking for support in the support thread when all i needed was alittle direction..as i am fairly new to php and coppermine and im just trying to get a little help. I'm sure you guys were in my shoes at one point so its just not in good form to treat people that way one day you may be the one who needs help and wouldnt you like to be treated pleasantly?? Karma, what goes around shall be returned!

Stramm

have a look at the function make_form() and the main code, that contains html as well

You're not asking for a little help. What you request would mean entirely re-coding profile.php, which would cost hours even for a skilled coder. That's why you have been told that this is beyond of what you can expect from support. We're not your coding slaves, and it's our decision if we want to spend our time with custom code that nobody but you would benefit from. Review your attitude or leave.

Trying to do something similar myself. Thought when this thread was 'solved' I'd find an answer. Keep slogging on I guess.
