Tell me if this is possible to acheive.
I want to make a few albums private and allow the user group I created to be able to access it to view. However I don't want guests or other registered users outside that special "group" to seen any pics. So how (if) can I make the new pics I upload there not show up in "last additions" and if the group wants to comment on pics in the private albums, other won't see them?

Casper

The last additions and other meta albums respect the permissions, so if a viewer is not allowed to see the album, the pics won't be in last up, or random etc.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Hey thanks so much. So I created a user group called "private", did all the rest like go to config and select yes in the icon thing, etc. When I upload a new pic to a private album I can log out and come back as a guest or registered member and NOT see those pics uploaded? Now what if we wanted to comment with those pics? Will others see the pics and comments?
Thanks in advance.

Okay answered my own question about comments, it works just how I want it. So on to the next and last question.
I have a website with hundreds of members and anons. I get most traffic at the gallery. Some complain about "candids" because they are intrusive, etc (it's a movie star fansite) so the private albums have those. MOST will want to view them so I will be adding them to the user group that is allowed. However I have an assistant who uploads many candids and other pictures. I don't want to make her admin because I don't want her to access config and deleting pics. Soooo, if I go to "properties" and say "yes" to let  vistiors upload, that means ALL the private users can upload? How can I make it so SHE can upload to all the albums but not the others in "private"? Does that make sense? Right now I have her in a user group called "special" (she's the only one) and have all the albums as "yes" to visitors upload so she can add pics. But once I do the private albums I will need to make her like all the others but only want her to be able to add.
Thanks!

Casper

At the moment, the only way to do this is to make her admin, BUT this is possible in the next version, which is not long away.  You will then be able to create as many groups as you want, and each group can see other groups you give them permission for.
Hope you can wait.
Also, please only one question per thread.

Thank you and sorry didn't know about the one question rule. :?  I'll have to let her be admin until the new version and hope she doesn't turn on me.
Sure hope the new version happens real soon. (wasn't a question but....) :D
