Hi, my Coppermine installation is going too slow.
The users must wait a long time before watchin any thumbnail.
Is there any way to make it going faster?

Thanx!

Search the board. There are a few threads, that deal with improving performance.

Basically, you turn off features that are resource-eaters to improve performance on slow platforms. Post a link to your gallery for details.

you're running cpg1.4.10 ans the latest coppermine version is 1.4.16. Update your gallery.
BTW You'r gallery runs slowly only for the index page o the firs visit....

Few suggestions:

  • Show only top level categories
  • Remove Random Images from index page (config setting)

Wow, 6 Dev Team Member only for you  ;D
I'd noticed all your PIX are very heavy in octets. Take care about weight !
Other way: maybe your server is very used by others websites (mutualized server)

Thank you very much for that quick support.
Is there any way to make a transparent process to resize images?
With details...
Users will upload their images and coppermine resize then withous interaction from users.
Is this possible??

(Excuse me for my poor English. Greetings from Spain!)
