Hi,

I administer a Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.14 and it is currently being hammered by spammers/advertisers with gmail email addresses.

I have scanned through the first few pages of this forum but can't find the answer, hence the new topic. Apologies if this answer is contained somewhere on this forum ...... it does not come up on a search.

How can I ban an entire domain from the facility?

I also administer a phpBB message board and it is real easy to ban a domain.

Can't find a way to do this with Coppermine though. Any suggestions ?

Many thanks.

First, to stop spam comments use the captcha plugin. Second, upgrade to 1.4.16 asap.

Don't have a problem with spam comments just the many free domain registrations which I then have to delete as have admin approval set for new registrations.

Will upgrade to prevent this.

Thanks.

The captcha plugin can also be used at the registration form.

There is a mod available as well that will disallow the registration of accounts from particular domains: Restriction of email domains
