Explain it to me

  I am having the most diffucult time downloading Coppermine. I am not a technical person, so I am trying to follow the downloading instrcutions. But everything I have downloaded is not working on my computer. I keep getting messages saying "Cannot read". Something about not having the software to read the files or something.
I wish there was a simple way to download the software for dummies like me. I just want to download and start using the product, but it's soo complicated for me.

Have you downloaded Coppermine from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658&package_id=98538&release_id=592069, and do you have a website/webserver?
