Hi, i'm an occasional user of Coppermine - great product.

I've run into a snag on a new installation, 1.2.1 - After i've uploaded images to /albums/myalbum/ and run the batch add pictures tool for that subdir, i get No new picture was found

Server info:

Database: MySQL 4.0.18
PHP/4.3.4

I dont think i have a server issue, in that i have a separate subdir with another working copy of coppermine that continues to do well with the batch add tool.

My directories for the albums are CHMOD 777 right now, sufficient permissions.

Any thoughts?  Thanks.. :)

check the configeration and see if all the directories set over there and then try rename that directory the one u made inside the albums and see if it helps... i used the default configeration when everything is done or uploaded then i try changin it around...

Hmm, everything appears configuration wise to be fine - batch add sees the subdirs that i've created under albums.

Tried what you suggested, but still not seeing any new photos.  Photos are @ 755

infamousnomie

can you see the directory when u click on batch add if yes then u cant see the images?

is thats the problem i had the same thing too when my files size where i think over 300kb then it wont show the images for some reason i dont know i am new to this... but its workin fine on mine if the file size is not too big..

Yes, i see the directory.
No, i see no images in that directory (although via FTP / Shell i can)

These images are no bigger than 50k at most.

make sure not to upload to the userpics folder by ftp - this folder must be left alone, it's reserved for coppermine's internal use. Instead, create folder(s) within the "albums" directory.

Thats correct, these are subdirs below the albums, and not in or below the userpics dir.

Casper

Are you sure they are allowed filetypes, as set in your config?
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

networkdad

The standard GIF/PNG/JPG/JPEG/TIF/TIFF, yes these are all either GIF or JPEG

Casper

Gif files will only work with imagemagick, not GD.  If your server has imagemagick, have you also got the file types specified in the box for IM?

networkdad

Yep, im setup for imagemagick, and those file types are specified.

networkdad

Hmm, decided to run a clean install again...this time its working?  Weird, i'd already done this once (reinstalled).

Anyways, thanks all for your help :)

Hello all :)

For me I'm runing Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.0 Beta3 and I got exactly the same problem, no files in my new folder located in the album directory.

Only JPEG inside ...

I've recently update and was runing the 1.2 standalone an had the same problem ...

 :?:  :?:  :?:

Casper

Are you sure you didn't put them in the 'userpics' folder.

Yes !

when I've got my problem I've read all this topic to see if I can find a solution ... All the other feature are working but I can't batch pics ... I have 300 picture to ad to my gallery ...

My problem is weirder yet similar to this....I'm running the 1.2.1 standalone version on my unix server...

I've been using it with no problem on two websites, adding pictures trough the batch system, after uploading the pictures via FTP...

But, one day to another (exatly, today), in one of those sites, when I uploaded a picture to an already existent folder, I went to "batch", and the picture didn't appear. I tried with some other pictures, and still nothing. I even created a new folder and it never appeared on the batch list of folders availables to add pictures from.

The folders are chmoded to 777, since til yesterday I could add pictures. Anyhow, I did it again, but still nothing.

I'm really concerned since I have around 1500 pictures already added to the gallery.

The folders are not below the coppermine folder, but above it.

I'd really appreciate your help, since I'm desperate!

Thank you in advance!
I put a spell on you, and now you're mine...

No reply for this?

Please I really need to know what could be the problem, since I have more than 1500 pictures in my gallery and if I cannot add more pictures to it I'll just have to uninstall Coppermine and install some other gallery script, 'cause I wouldn't be sure to install Coppermine again.

That would me sad 'cause I think Coppermine is a fantastic script since I've used it in another website.

never actually tested this, but to be sure I think you should have your "albums" dir within your coppermine folder, not somewhere else. Hard to say what went wrong - sounds like you "over-modified" things a bit. Usually, if there's no reply people simply don't know the answer. What's the point in answering "I don't know" then?

Please explain exactly the path to your pics you ftp'd, i.e., cpg/albums/your_foldername/..., or cpg/albums/userpics/your_foldername/...

Are you sure the new pics are good, not too big etc.
