for a client I have set up a website, using a static HTML template that the customer purchased at templatemonster.com (http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/16608.html).
The purchased template contains both the static HTML/css as well as the sources in psd format and an alternate site design using a short flash animation (with a skier jumping into the background and the menu items showing a roll-over animation). The customer now would like to see the flash animation on his web page instead of the static HTML logo. That's where I need help with: I don't have flash skills nor do I own the needed application that allows you to edit and preview ActionScript.
That's what I would like the potential taker of this job to do: edit the flash script accordingly to replace the sample logo integrated into the purchased template with the custom one I have come up with for my customer.
Of course I will provide the logos and menu item images that need to be replaced in whatever format you need (psd probably) and of course the flv file as well.
What keeps me from doing this myself is the high cost of the flash editing app (Adobe Flash CS3 or the Adobe Creative suite) for the whole task and (as I suggested above) my lack of flash skills.
The customer's budget is $50, payable by Credit Card, Paypal, Amazon gift certificates or international wire transfer. I would prefer a taker from Europe (for easier payment), but of course this job is open for everyone.
The customer would like to see this implemented asap, deadline would be by the end of September 2008.
I'm looking forward to hear from you by PM or a reply to this thread.

Thanks in advance

I can help you out. I have Flash CS3 Pro. Although, I don't quite understand where the FLV comes in (maybe you meant FLA?).

Send me the details/files (ron AT muvipix DOT com). PayPal is fine at same address (I'm located in USA).

I understand if you want to wait for a European offer.

Joachim Müller

Ron,

thanks for your terrific offer - I'm flattered to have a pro like you being ready to look into this. Sander has volunteered by PM to look into this issue for me already, so I have sent him the needed files. Thanks again for being ready to help out.

Job is taken. I will of course let everybody know when the job is done.

Cheers

Sander has done the job in no time - excellent. Thanks again, Sander!

For those who would like to take a peek, here's the page: http://www.sport-fun-reisen.de/ (content available in German only).
The Flash fallback has been implemented using swfobject.
The site relies heavily on the usage of JavaScript and Flash (yes, I know - not my usual approach and not a bright idea in terms of accessibilty) - feedback on possible implementation flaws (JavaScript errors or "broken" Flash ) would be welcome.

Marking thread as "done". Once again, a big "thank you" goes to Sander for doing the Flash job and to Ron for his readiness to help.

Cheers

Joachim

I'm sorry to clutter this topic but I search in the forum for "Sander" and I can't find anything. Also, he didn't post here. I think this sub forum it's intended to let other people know works that are already done and be able to contact the freelancer whom made it posible. Right? Who is "Sander" and where could a posible client found him for a future work?

Sorry if I miss something and please don't get me wrong,

Anyway, good work Sander!

Cheers,

In addition to Pascal's clarification about Sander's profile, let me state here that people who look for similar services must not send a PM to Ron or Sander, but will have to post publicly, unless the possible recipient of the PM has shown his readines to be PMed.

@Sander: the T-Shirt is on it's way ;)

SaWey

Let me introduce myself... I'm Sander :D

@Joachim: Great, can't wait to see it...

Joachim Müller

I received the shipment acknowledgement for the shirt, so you should receive it soon. Hope that it will fit and look OK. I have added a credits page to the customer's site and mentioned your name there. Do you want to see a link along with your name?

SaWey

I'll take a picture and post it on the forum :)
You didn't have to add me to the credits, although it's fun to see my name on a german site...
A link is certainly not necessary.
