Firstly thanks to everyone for such a fantastic product - and thanks be to SourceForge and GPL  ;D

One question tho.... I have FTP'd pictures into the album folder, and have successfully imported the pictures into an album. Does the import feature actually import the pictures into the mySQL database, or is it just the links to the files that are imported? If I were to remove the pictures from my FTP server, will I lose them?

you will lose them ... i found out the hard way  :-\

Yes, gijs_schouten is right.  The database just remembers all the details, like where they are on the server, which album they belong to, etc.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
