I've searched the forums for this...but none of it seemed to help me out with my problem.

I've not created a new directory for the theme, but just used the original default theme directory that was originally there. I've modified the template slightly....and as I went to change the colours in the CSS it doesn't seem to take effect at all.

I've read a few of the posts and most suggest to make sure the directory and path are correct and link to the file...but this cannot be the problem as I haven't made a new directory or altered the path in anyway. I just want to modify the default layout. Is this wrong and the wrong way to go about making a layout.

What must I do to get it to work?

Have you looked at the 'styleguide' theme in the demo, to see which bits of the css control what?

Also, have a look at the theme/template.html, as the outer table is controlled there.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
