.reg file trouble with XP_Publisher

couldn't find this problem, so thought i'd post here as it's a xp_publish error

when u click to download the .reg file in cpg 1.3 it downloads ok, but when u try to merge or open it, it returns the error:

cannot import, can only import binary from within registry  or something similar (i forgot exact wording)

i had to manually create the key in the registry myself..

for now i've exported my key from my working registry and uploaded it to the server and changed the link, so people can download the working reg file. i don't know what's causing the problem as both my exported version and the one that downloads from xp_publish are identical.. except 1 doesn't work and 1 does..

I've the problem (1.4.4) and I supposed it's due to encoding transfer. I'll check other posts as it's probably fixed at this time (1.4.5)
