What's this?This plugin replaces the intermediate page with an AJAX gui that is widely configurable. EnlargeIt! turns the whole intermediate page into a Javascript pop up window. It provides one of the fastest possible ways to browse a picture gallery.
This plugin works fine with any graphical web browser (Firefox 1.5 and higher, IE 5.0 and higher, Opera 8 and higher, Safari 3 and higher, Konqueror 3.5 and higher, Google Chrome ...), so you won't lose any visitors because of compatibility issues. Users without a Javascript-capable browser or who have deactivated scripting in their browser can use the gallery as if EnlargeIt! wasn't there at all.
Features* AJAX buttons for rating, picture info, favorites, comment, full size image, BBcode, eCard, download, histogram
* navigation and close buttons
* navigation with arrow keys or mouse wheel (mouse wheel only with Mozilla & IE)
* five different animation types
* chose animation speed and steps
* select border size, color and shadow
* centering and screen darkening (lightbox alike)
* enlarge to intermediate size or full size pics
* doesn't blow up your page size - only 21 Kbyte of javascript and 1 Kbyte of CSS is added
Still too big for you? Go to http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/english/11/building_blocks.php
and generate your own smaller, personalized version of the Javascript files
* this plugin fully supports the SEF plugin
* support for flash files (SWF)
* support for playback of YouTube movies (needs additional modification, see file youtube_support_mod.txt for detailled instructions)
* support for playback of *.flv files - simply upload them to your CPG and they will play (filetype: *.flv)
* support for playback of *.divx files via DivX Web Player (http://labs.divx.com/WebPlayer) (filteype: *.divx)
* you
can configure virtually everything on the config page - though it's not mandatory ;)

Note for users of plugins 'ImageFlow' and 'Slider'New versions of these plugins are included in the ZIP file. Please make sure to update them before you install the EnlargeIt! plugin. The included versions of ImageFlow and Slider are full versions, meaning that it is not neccessary to install previous versions.
How to adapt the optics of the AJAX snippets to my skin?Modify
enl_styles.css to your needs.
Best practices
- The plugin won't crash, but it will display probably unwanted scroll bars if your picture size is too small. I recommend to use full size images or normal size images that are at least 600x400px or larger. If you use a lot of pic info data (e. g. EXIF data), pic size must be larger to avoid scroll bars.
- The more effect stuff you activate, the slower the animation will be on very old/slow computers. Turning off shadow, textured border and darkening will improve performance on these computers - it's up to you if you still like to be considerate of Pentium II and earlier...
- Drag&drop, meaning sorting the enlarged pictures on the screen, only makes sense if you don't use the darkening feature. If you do use it, the visitor can only enlarge one pic at a time - not much to sort IMO ;)
Install1. If you use them, uninstall the plugins ImageFlow and Slider and install the included versions.
2. Copy folder
enlargeit to your plugins folder.
3. If you want to use the histogram button, make subfolder histcache writable, this usually means CHMOD to 755 or 777.
4. Install via plugin manager. Configure with new admin button
EnlargeIt!5. If you update from a previous version, make sure to always completely uninstall the old version before installing the new one, and empty your browser cache afterwards.
Uninstall1. Uninstall via plugin manager.
2. If you want to make sure, that noone can upload DIVX or FLV files anymore,
get Nibbler's file type plugin and remove *.flv and *.divx file types
(http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,24186.msg111120.html)
If it doesn't work
- Check if the visitor has the right to access enlargeit.js (http://path.to.your.gallery/plugins/enlargeit/js/enlargeit.js) - the whole folder must be accessable via web by the visitors, because it contains the javascript and graphic files.
- If you use the SEF plugin, don't forget to switch the setting on the EnlargeIt! config page.
- If the current version of this plugin doesn't work for you, you can find older versions here (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/english/old/CPG_plugin).
- If you use a highly modded theme or a theme that doesn't provide valid HTML/XHTML, this plugin probably won't work. I can live with that, and you must! ;)
- The histogram function requires PHP with GD2.

This plugin has been added to the subversion repository: http://coppermine.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/coppermine/branches/cpg1.4.x/plugins/enlargeit
It has been updated as well to reflect the version checking routines in the plugin manager that are meant to make sure that galleries don't break because of plugins installed that aren't meant for that particular version of the gallery.

Goodmorning Timos,
I took a quick look at your site. Really nice job with this new plugin. I'll get going on translating ;)
Cheers
Hein
Timos,
AWoW ;D
Pure nice Job, again !
I'll try to translate it too, but in French...
PYAP
Hello Timos,
Here's my French language file.
Unfortunately, there're some issues with this files.... and i do'nt understand why. Maybe accentated characters !
I 'd tried first with UTF-8 encoded without success, and with é style ! again without success !
With my lang file there's no Title Bar, nor Border color... ???
hmmm....
Other : What about Stats ? There's no count by Pix viewed !
(because i'm sick today, i have no hole in front of my eyes ;D )
PYAP
At the moment I am thinking of giving up this plug in, because I simply don't know enough about PHP, MySQL and Coppermine to complete it. It takes me forever to do certain things, especially constructing the AJAX snippets out of the complex CPG files.
Dear developers (you're one, too, arent you?): I ask for help.
As an example, to complete the rating system, I'd need a php file that generates something like this:
<table cellspacing="1" style="width:100%;height:100%">
<tr>
<td class="enl_infotablehead" align="center"><b>Rate this file </b><br /> (current rating : 4 / 5 with 2 votes)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="enl_infotable" width="100%" align="center"><a href="javascript:;" title="Rubbish" rel="nofollow"><img onclick="enl_ajaxfollow(this);" name="enl_ratepic.php?pic=13&rate=0&enl_img=xxxx" src="images/rating0.gif" border="0" alt="Rubbish" /><br /></a></td>
</tr>
... (same for better votes)
</table>
Something like this can't be done with a few preg_replace and str_replace out of $vote in displayimage.php, one has to know how coppermine internally builds certain things to get this done, and I simply don't have neither the knowledge nor the time.
The pic counting problem is easy to solve compared to this; regarding the french language file: It should be easy to make this work, too.
I don't think I can get this done alone.

do you want to insert this html code into a php file ?
No of course not.
I spent another long evening trying to understand what Coppermine does. Just released 0.6 including rating snippets and french language (thx Pascal).

I think I've fixed these problems. The only issue that's left is that some browsers don't display special characters or HTML entities correctly in their tooltips; therefore, I'd probably reduce the characters in tooltips to vanilla ASCII if possible. The reason why your file didn't work at all in 0.5 was that french people use the apostroph ' all the time, english and germans don't.

No
I can reproduce this in Wampserver on my Vista VM; it crashes httpd.exe in php5ts.dll. I assume it's a bug in their implementation - no php script in the world should be able to crash a web server. Neither the log files nor the event log give any hint what's wrong.

0.8 fixes two ugly bugs, plugin is stable again.
hi,
looking for my problem, it seems that it's fixed if you comment or remove the "exit;" from the plugin_config.php code on line 77
is it normal that the plugin seems not working with the random image block ?
Yes of course, by that I want to force people to use Slider or ImageFlow for displaying random images. ;)
No it's not, thanks for the bug report.

Hi Timos,
just install this plugin, and wow is it sweet! You did such a great job putting this together! Super easy install and works right out of the box....need i say more?
I do have one little request tho...I know that the WHOLE POINT of this plugin is to completely get rid of the intermediate image and page with the film strip...but I personally like the intermediate page, especially because of the comments users can post.
So, what i would like to do is link the "information" button icon to the intermediate page, instead of the image information. Which file do i need to change in order to do that? Is this something you would consider adding to your next version (eg: the option to choose where the information button icon takes you)?
Again, thx a bunch for such a great plugin!
Stephane
AJAX snippets for comment feature are on the to do list for this plugin.

Hello
Its a nice plugin. Im new on coppermine and have two questions before I use your plugin.
Is there possible to make the favorite link direkt on the top. Like, when I click on the heart on the demo, than this photo are my favourite, and when a photo is a favourite from me, than there display another icon to remove the photo from the favourite?
And another question. I think is a css question. On the original Lightbox script is, when the lightbox open the background from the site darker? Is that here also possible?
Thx and nice work!

The favorite icon toggles favorites, meaning it switches favorite status on and off. Click it once, and it adds the photo to your favorites. Click it once again, and it removes the photo from your favorites. The icon won't change.
Darkening is possible, turn it on in the plugin settings.
Hello
thx is nice. I have tested on my webspace is nice. One other question. I have Images they are dont display with the enlarget..is there a bug or is this my mistake? I dont know why...
Link to your gallery?
Ah I found the mistake..the image has a Filename like 12412414.JPG and all images with the .JPG dont are use enlargeit..
Hey is there possible, when I have the enlargeit open and I click on the next button, that dont make a new animation?..only display the next image
sorry for my english
I'm no prophet. I don't do divinations. My profession is not to be a clairvoyant. And believe it or not: I'm not psychic. ;D
As I already wrote: Post a link to your gallery.
Hello
the two question you can forget. i have no link, than i tested offline. I post the link, when the gallery is finishd
hey, how I can change the images? I want the simple Images like the Lightbox 2. I think that with the binact.jpg difficult...is there a simpler way?
thx
To change the buttons, you'll have to edit bact.png and binact.png to your needs. All buttons must be in one file like in the original files. Buttons must be quadratic. The png files must have exact the height of the buttons. If your buttons have a different size than the original ones, you must edit codebase.php and correct the offset values.
The EnlargeIt! plugin is an out-of-the-box product. If it works for you: Fine. If there are bugs, I will try to fix them. But I will not care very much about questions of personal taste. EnlargeIt! is not Lightbox and Lightbox is not EnlargeIt! - if you prefer Lightbox, I recommend to use one of the Lightbox mods that are available in this forum instead of this plugin.
If you like to donate a different button set that better suits your needs: Feel free to attach them to your reply, if I like them I'll add them to the plugin as option. Same rules as above: Quadratic, all in one file, and most important: Your own work or under the GPL license, no stolen graphics please.
v0.82 (2008/06/25)
------------------
* preloading finally works, browsing the pics with nav buttons is now much faster
* button image and order improvements
* no enlargeit navigation with imageflow plugin (doesn't make sense there)
Have fun! ;)
Timo
Hello
the preloading is super! thx
I have 20 pictures per page..and when I on the end of the page...they are finished with enlargeit...is there possible do switch on the next page, when enlargeit display the last picture from the page?
No, sorry. The javascript part does not know if there are more pictures or not.
Released 0.83.
* Added histogram function taken from this mod (experimental):
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,18759.0.html
* Added maximize button to show full size pic if EnlargeIt! is set up to show intermediate pics by default
Developement stops here for this plugin. Language files wanted (currently only english, french and german supported).
Have fun with it as it is!

Timo
I'm trying to figure out how to "hack" the info page to add a bbcode style link (i.e. (http://link)) so I'm guess I would need to start with the enl_info.php page....
Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks
How do you do it on the standard intermediate page?
Timos. Dutch lang file attached. Great looking plugin this.
Would it be possible to built something in that allows for the next picture to be loaded into the Enlargeit screen. So you do not have that picture opening/closing action.. Not sure if it can but it would be nice ;D
Cheers
Hein
I'd suggest to set animation type to "No animation" to get rid of it and set screen darkening to "yes 2" and centering to "yes". Enjoy.
Thanks for the language file, I've added it to the ZIP.
Thanks Timo! That was a usefull suggestion.
Hallo Timo,
e really nice plugin! I am trying to install your plugin in two galeries (www.meyers-web.de and www.schuetzenverein-wulmstorf.de), but it`s only working at your installed slider plugin. In normal galeries unfortunately it doesn`t work, all pictures opened as before. Any idea`s ?
Thanks
merlin6666
Hi merlin6666,
thanks for your report. Because of a typo, EnlargeIt! wouldn't work for *.JPG files, only for *.jpg. Fixed with v0.85 (just uploaded). Please update.
regards
Timo
Karma to Hein fo that beautiful dutch language file! ;D
Timo, thanks for your quick reply.
I have updated to 0.85
But what i have found out:
1. If i switch SEF to yes, EnlargeIt doesn`t work, the normal coppermine picture opened, with "No" all is working well.
2. If i click a picture from your slider plugin, i missed the navigation buttons though activated.
Regards
merlin6666
If you want to use SEF, you must first install the SEF plugin and have it ready and working fine. After that, you must turn EnlargeIt! SEF support on, and it will work again. Turning it on without the SEF plugin installed will do - nothing. ;)
I decided against navigation buttons for slider for now, because in bad cases, the slider pic could have scrolled out of the visible area when clicking "next", and the animation looks very bad then and scrollbars would make your browser window ugly for a short moment. It's by design now. Only the static pics can be browsed with the next and previous buttons.
Please avoid Umlaute in file names, they are not valid characters.
regards
Timo

How do you do it on the standard intermediate page?
(this is all in the enl_info.php page that goes in the root folder of the gallery)
Here is how far I've gotten (please excuse my amateurish php coding I'm a application developer by trade),
after
echo $test;
echo "</table>";
I inserted
echo "<textarea name=\"bbcode\" cols=\"40\" rows=\"3\" align=\"center\"> [IMG]http://".($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'])."/gallery/albums/userpics/". $CURRENT_PIC_DATA['filename'] . "[/IMG] </textarea>";
and to deal with the issue of the information table taking the whole "page" I also edited
echo "<table align=\"center\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width:100% height:75%\">";
(I added the height of 75% to give me space for the textarea)
the only problem with that is formating is leaving something to be desired...
Hi Timo,
i found a bug, picture with an "Umlaut" ä,ö,ü in the name can not be displayed, if enlargeIt is active. Only a small row is visible then, no Photo.
*sigh* You're right, coppermine supports uploading of pics with 'umlauts' (äöüß), so EnlargeIt! has to, too. Please update to v0.86. Fixed.
regards
Timo
Hi Timo,
yep, "umlauts" are solved :-)
Another Thing:
For me and maybe some others, it would be helpful to activate (as option) the arrow keys left/right at the keyboard for an additional navigation, if the EnlargeIt window is open.... How about this?
I don't think that this is possible. You can enlarge more than one pic at a time if you don't use darkening. If I integrated a key listener, which of the enlarged pics should be the one that moves on to the next picture?
some abracadabra on voting page, show info and so on
Go, code it.
look - http://www.etennis.mobitek.biz/cpg1416/index.php?cat=3
1. Please update your gallery to 1.4.18 right now.
2. There seem to be charset encoding problems, at least when I look at your gallery in german.
3. You have extremely long file names and very small pic sizes, that's not ideal for EnlargeIt!.
But what of all this is your question? "some abracadabra on voting page, show info and so on" is no bug report nor a feature request.
I have 1.4.18 now, but problem with encoding still exist
Help me please
Hi joginvik,
I have no solution, sorry. Seems to be some kind of encoding problem, but don't ask me why. The EnlargeIt! AJAX snippets use the character encoding of the parent page.
Timo
New version 0.87. Please make sure to update the Imageflow and Slider plugins to the included versions, too, if you use them.
v0.87 (2008/07/10)
------------------
changed onclick to onmousedown (faster reaction)
new versions of ImageFlow and Slider plugins (update required for 0.87!)
magnifying glass mouse cursor
Hello Timos-Welt,
about SLIDER :
I notice there's no "scroll stop" on MouseOver !
It would be nice to keep this feature.
Also, maybe nice to add custom CSS.
PYAP
Hi Pascal,
there's a good reason why I deactivated this. To get the EnlargeIt! animation as smooth as possible even on slow computers, the slider stops during it and starts again after it. Using mouseover stopping at the same time would mean too many start/stop signals, ending in a confusion, so I wouldn't have control when the slider is running or not.
regards
Timo
hey
a stupid question..but I need that...is that possible to play flv videos on the enlargeit?
No.
Hi Timo,
i have made a new Coppermine 1.4.18 installation integrated EnlargeIt 0.88 and Slider 2.07 (btw. both shows wrong versions (0.87/2.05) in the Plugin Manager)
If there is no picture in the gallery and after clicking some menu items the Browser is loading and loading...but shows no error message only the sandglass.
Also it`s not possible to logout then.
Same happened if i have created a new category without pictures in an excisting gallery . If i click the new category button it crashed, no reaction of the browser.
I have wait for a long time, then sometimes it`s possible again to load the mainpage.
To get it back to normal work, it`s needed to e.g. delete the Slider folder via ftp in Plugins or to remove "slider" in config -> content of the main page.
I don`t know if this only happened at my server or if it`s a general problem.....
I can reproduce this here and will have a look into it soon. Thanks for your report.
Bug in Slider plugin fixed. EnlargeIt! v0.881 includes Slider 2.08.
Slider 2.08 changes:
- Slider plugin won't lock webserver anymore with empty categories

Timo
i cannot make it work.
The only thing that works in my page is the imageflow plugin.
The Slider shows a blank slide and the Enlargeit does not work.
Thanks. It is a great plugin anyway.
Link to your gallery?
Sorry, i was testong a little more and nothing.
www.todo-motos.es/galeria/
I have a lot of albums empty as i am setting up the web now. Could be that the problem?
Thanks
When trying to load
http://todo-motos.es/galeria/plugins/enlargeit/js/enlargeit.js
I get a 403 error message. So does the visitor, and that's why EnlargeIt! doesn't work.
Either there's something wrong with your webserver, or you didn't upload the whole plugin including subfolders.
regards
Timo
I feel so stupid. :P
All the files inside the slider and enlargeit has set to 600 and folders to 700, so it was imposible to work. :D
Fixed now...
¿A question: could put the slider on the top of my web page?
¿Is there any code or any where to look how to make it?
Thanks!
Great work, mate ! I like a lot this little plugin ;)
"Small" request... would it be possible to display also the caption (i.e. description) of the image together with the title (which is already there) under it or, better, under the image itself ? I guess it would be nice to configure this in the admin area with yes / no... if is not too much work for you...
Thanks !

The caption is already visible if a pic has one and the visitor clicks on the 'i' symbol (to show the information ajax snippet). I don't plan to add it as a subtitle to the picture.
darkpollo wrote:

No.
I like it a lot! tnx for all the hard work. Looking forward to the comment ajax.
It has been brought to my attention that there is a small problem with listboxes showing through the ajax overlay (the people telling me this are all ie6 users, probably that's where the problem lies...). Not looking for a solution (I couldn't care less, it doesn't show in FireFox so I'm happy ;D ), just letting you know :)
I also found a small translation error in the dutch locale: "Historie" should be translated as "Histogram" (historie is a literal translation of history, but in this case it should be called histogram). Maybe something to change for a later release?
Thanks, I know about the IE6 problem, but it doesn't affect usability at all and is just a display bug, and IE 6 is a dying browser, so I won't code a work around for that - the Javascript part currently is 15 Kb and I don't want it to be bigger without getting additional really useful functionality.
Thanks for the work - it is appreciated.
two questions:
1) Once a visitor has rated an image, is there any way they can change their rating? I can't find a way.
2) At the beginning of this thread you mentioned working on a comments feature. Was that abandoned or am I missing it? That was a feature I really needed.
Thanks again.

That's not a feature of coppermine, so it can hardly be a feature of a visualization plugin.
Sorry - I never noticed you couldn't do that before. I guess its not that big a deal since no ones ever complained to me.
It's not very difficult to code the comment ajax snippet, but it's very difficult for me to keep it compatible with the Captcha plugin, and I think that's really important. It's summer in germany, and I can think of nicer things than spending a week or two in front of my PC to understand Captcha and then find out that it won't work with EnlargeIt! or has to be modified. You'll have to wait untill I'm really really bored, or until one of the developers decides to help me.
I understand - its summer here in Mississippi, USA too and its hard to sit inside too long. I've been chasing this "highslide-type" interface forever it seems. Found one that does everything including ratings and comments, but doesn't use a database so client loses everything when they leave the site (its set up to email the owner a list of image selections, ratings and comments). Others don't allow multiple images to be open at the same time. Yours is perfect except I can't get to the comments. The search goes on... Anyway, thanks for all you did to get it this far. I'll check back occasionally to see if you have revisited it.
Italian translation added. Nice work, pal!
Hi I was wondering if this plugin will have the slideshow feature?
Amazing plugin!
Is there any ability to load flash files?
I'm a photo-retoucher. Rather than displaying my work as a side-by-side comparison of before/after, I'd like to display the retouched image and reveal the original on mouseOver.
If I can't load flash, is there any way to attach javascript to particular files?
Thanks for the italian translation, it will be included in the next release.
Slideshow feature: I don't think it makes sense with Coppermine. EnlargeIt! only knows about the pics on the current page, so a slideshow would never present the whole album if it's more than one page of pics.
Flash files: I'll try. Please mail me some flash files for testing purposes to enlargeit at timos-welt.de. Thanks!
for me its working fine....but the problem is wen i click full size its not displaying the actual full size of the photos....instead its displaying a little larger version of the intermediate image on EnlargIt! ........ Is there any way to fix this?
So here's my to-do list of new features for 2.0:
- add slideshow feature for pics on the current page
- add alternative fullscreen view feature
- add alternative info button functionality to go to intermediate page (like highslide plugin)
- add key listener to be able to use arrow keys to navigate
- add mouse listener to be able to use mousewheel to navigate
(- add comment AJAX snippet - can't promise this)
Any more requests?
Just released v2.0 beta 1.
Changes:
---------
- new option for info button to directly go to intermediate page
=> now functional 100% replacement for Highslide plugin
- added italian translation (user contribution)
Have fun!
Timo
Thank you Timo! Really really nice. Right now i only use the latest versions of imageflow and slider without the EnlargeIt function because of the missing commentfunction of that plugin. (I hope my following question is placed in the right thread)
anyways, while waiting for a version where the commentfunction is included, i have a little question for you.
before using your great contributions i modified my index.php to show the randompics only on the mainpage. now i would like to work sth. out like that.
my plan (and sadly i don't know the way):
imageflow only on the mainpage
slider on the other pages but not on the mainpage
is there by any chance the possibility that there is an easy way like this one for the "original" metalbums (?):

Danke Dir schon mal im voraus! / Thanks in advance!
Just released v2.0 beta 2.
Changes:
---------
- new option for maximize button: use popup window instead of max to viewport
(should cure request of user knaphih)
Have fun!
Timo
@ Farnsi: No idea.
This one was easier than I thought, so here's another beta for today:
Just released v2.0 beta 3.
Changes:
---------
- added key listener - you can use arrow keys for navigation now
- improved maximize pop up now using CPG core script function
Have fun!
Timo
Goodmorning Timos. The key listener is a very good thing to have with EnlargeIt. It makes watching the photos very very easy compared to using the mouse. Nice work!
Just released v2.0 beta 4.
Changes since v0.881:
----------------------
- new option for info button to directly go to intermediate page => now functional 100% replacement for Highslide plugin
- new option for maximize button: use popup window instead of 'max to viewport'
- added key listener - you can use arrow keys for navigation now and Esc key to close
- nicer darkening fade, new option 'darkening steps' on config page
- optimized and more intuitive mouse cursors
- drag & drop can be deactivated on config page
- nicer default settings
- added italian translation (user contribution)
Please note:
If you update from a previous version (or beta version), make sure that you uninstall the plugin in CPG plugin manager and re-install it after the update to make the plugin work correctly.
Have fun!
Timo
I installed your latest beta (the way you told us to) and sadly this function does not work at all:
- nicer darkening fade, new option 'darkening steps' on config page
there is no more darkening of the background and therefore no darkening steps.
- Make sure to empty your browser cache.
- Make sure you uninstalled EnlargeIt! and installed it freshly after the update?
- Post a link to your gallery.
- Does it work here for you? http://cpgdev.timos-welt.de/cpg1416/
regards
Timo
Hallo Timo,
1) done
2) done
3) Link (manually updated Gallery, from *.18 to *.19; real update follows the next days)
4) yes it does
5) same missing feature while using FF and IE7
Thank you!
Thanks a lot for your bug report, the new darkening fade seems to work only for glide animations ATM. I'll fix this with the next beta version.
PS: Tolle Bilder, hatte gerade viel Spaß auf deiner Seite. :)
(great pictures, had a lot of fun on his site)
regards
Timo
Thank you and you're welcome. :)
While browsing through my gallery and missing the darkening fade ;) i got this idea:
Why not keeping the background darkened while browsing through the pictures? Might be a feature that could be chosen optional e.g.
Just an idea that poped up.. :)
i really love this plugin! but i think it is a little sad that the comment feature "has to take a seat in the background". You can't see if and when, how many comments have been written. i know, you are planning to work sth. out, a AJAX-snippet for commenting but what about having an optional infotext which shows if comments have been written (styled like a picturename or sth. like that).
i know, probably this is going too far but it was just another idea that poped up.. let's say a little brainstorming.. :)
anyways, thanks again for your outstanding work!
>Why not keeping the background darkened while browsing through the pictures?
This option is already there (set darkening mode "yes 2"), but not very performant in IE. :( The effect is much less disturbing on dark skins, see for example http://pics.timos-welt.de .
>You can't see if and when, how many comments have been written.
I'll start with the comment snippet soon.
Just released v2.0 beta 5.
Changes since beta 4:
----------------------
- new feature: mouse wheel support for navigating
- fixed: nicer darkening fade worked only with glide animations
- fixed: Imageflow would generate invalid XHTML if not enough pics in a category
- added: Imageflow french language file (user contribution)
Have fun!
Timo
Just released v2.0 beta 6.
Changes since beta 5:
----------------------
- changed the way views are counted and enl_cnt.php
- fixed few minor JS bugs for improved browser compatibility
Have fun!
Timo
Hi.
I have got some YouTube videos in my gallery. I modify some files to make them work, but know, when i use your plugin, it only shows the small picture and not the video.
Do you know how to fix it? Or, if not...
Could i disable your plugin in the videos album?
Thanks!
Just a word of appreciation Timos ;) I have to update my EnlargeIt installation several times now in the past days. Good work!
@Hein: Thanks! :)
@darkpollo: Coppermine can display YouTube videos? I didn't know that. Tell me more about it and how it's realized, I'll see what I can do.
Just released v2.0 beta 7.
Changes since beta 6:
----------------------
- Experimental support for display of swf (shockwave flash) files
The script checks if flash plugin is installed, then the swf file gets displayed, the view gets counted, and screen darkening works. It's rudimentary yet, but it's better than nothing.
=> demo at http://cpgdev.timos-welt.de/cpg1416/thumbnails.php?album=lastup&cat=0
Have fun!
Timo
Very promising Timos. Going to include things such as avi movies as wel?
I don't think so.
Not a single one of the AVI examples in the demo gallery works for me, even the Windows Media one doesn't (on a Windows PC! with Firefox 2). Many people use players with built in codecs today (VLC...) so codecs are missing; many don't install the neccessary browser plugins; in the end, support of video formats seems to be just wasted time, creating a black hole of support.
Flash/SWF is an exception and has been requested quite a few times by users of the stand alone version of EnlargeIt!, but only because of the popularity of YouTube and its clones; I don't think there are many PCs out there without flash capability. But it's funny: EnlargeIt! was originally written to avoid the need of flash... ;)

I am updating now to the 2.0 beta version. It is great! Thanks again.
Well, about the you tube videos, it is very easy to mod some files to display YouTube videos on Coppermine.
Here is the link to the mod forum topic (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,37962.0.html). You can check there wath files i have modified and to know if you can make something with it.
The other option is the possibility of disable the EnlargeIt! Plugin to some of the albums in the gallery. I have all the videos in the same album.
Thank you again.
More about youtube mod.
You can check how it works here:
http://www.todo-motos.es/galeria/displayimage.php?pos=-653
And see what happens with the enlargeit plugin:
http://www.todo-motos.es/galeria/thumbnails.php?album=1
Open the codebase.php of EnlargeIt!
Find this line:
if( $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpg' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpeg' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpe'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'png'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'gif'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'bmp'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpc' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jp2' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpx' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jb2'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'swc' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPEG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPE' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'PNG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'GIF' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'BMP' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPC' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JP2' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPX' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'SWC' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'swf' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'SWF' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'Swf')
(gee, didn't know that is has become that long hehe) and change to
if (($enl_filetype[1] == 'jpg' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpeg' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpe'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'png'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'gif'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'bmp'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpc' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jp2' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jpx' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'jb2'|| $enl_filetype[1] == 'swc' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPEG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPE' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'PNG' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'GIF' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'BMP' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPC' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JP2' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'JPX' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'SWC' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'swf' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'SWF' || $enl_filetype[1] == 'Swf') && !(preg_match('/^youtube_(.*)\.jpg$/', $match[6])))
This way your videos should work as before.
That is a fast answer!!
Going to test it right now! :D
Perfect!
Thank you very much!
hiya :)
great plugin, thanks! :)
but just 1 question.. ive installed it & it works great, but just above my albums on the home page theres a message in red that says
"This is sample data returned from plugin ""."
& it stays there, any ideas :-) ?
Thanks again
oops! ..heres my url so you can see :)
http://www.jinnycrew.co.uk/rc/gallery/index.php
Uninstall the sample plugin.
ahhh! :)
thanks alot :)
hello timos welt
on the demo with the swf files there have no topbar with the icons (favorite, info, rate etc)
is there always so, or only on the demo? i need the icons

Get yourself a dictionary and check for the words "experimental" and "rudimentary".
can this be used on a page that is not coppermine? such as a front page.
Hallo Timo,
I have a little suggestion, in the original coppermine gallery the admin views don't get counted but your plugin does count those views. Could you change that to the original way?

basically this is a plugin for cpg. i don't know if timo has something his sleeve.
for homepages you could use the lightbox-script for example (just search for lightbox in google).
thanks....can the lightbox pull the images from coppermine?
this is not related to this plugin. please start a new thread in the right place. :)

Will be changed with next beta version. I'm just fixing a few Javascript bugs, so please have a little patience.
Timo
Take your time Timo, no problem. This was just something i noticed.
Just released v2.0 beta 8.
Changes since beta 7:
---------------------
- flash files now unload correctly in IE
- fixed: pic views are not counted in admin mode anymore
- fixed: plugin didn't work correctly when set title bar to no
- tested to work fine with google chrome beta
Have fun!
Timo
Again, great plugin Timos.
One little thing to fix.. configuration file says "$version='2.0beta7';"
Cheers
Hein
p.s. added updated dutch.php file
Thanks I've changed the version number in the archive, please re-download. Language file will go into next beta.
Just released v2.0 beta 9.
Changes since beta 8:
---------------------
- improved dutch language file (thanks Hein)
- very first experimental version of a comment AJAX snippet
Please note regarding the comment AJAX snippet: No smileys yet, no edit button yet, no report to admin button yet, posted comments will be redirected to the intermediate page, layout is taken from CPG theme instead of enl_styles.css, no Captcha support yet. This feature is simply NOT ready for productive usage. I was begged a lot to release this by some users, because they really really want this and need this - see if you can live with it as it is, and please report in this thread if it works for you. I simply don't know when I'll have the time to complete it. Therefore I recommend to not upload enl_comment.php and enl_addcomment.php to your server, and leave the setting for comment button set to 'No'. Thanks for understanding.
Have fun!
Timo
Just released v2.0 beta 10.
Changes since beta 9:
---------------------
- changed onmousedown back to onclick (better compatibility with several exotic / older browsers)
- removed unused redundant stuff from enl_addcomment.php
- removed unused graphic files from js directory
- fixed a bug in slider plugin that lead to invalid XHTML (double IDs) if not enough pics available, new slider plugin version is 2.09
- comment function is now turned off by default, because it's still alpha
Have fun!
Timo
can the comment function display the avatar beside the comment with a link to the profile?
Don't know - go try.
no..there is no avatar
I have a mistake when I write a comment, they skip on the normal view page...(displayimage.php) without the enlargeit...

Hi Timos!
I have been using your plugin for a while now and I love it! I have a problem with the latest version tho!
Here's a link to the gallery: http://stephanroncada.com/cpg/index.php (http://stephanroncada.com/cpg/index.php)
I just upgraded cpg to 1.4.19 and did a fresh install of the Enlargeit plugin, as well as the slider and image flow plugins.
I have a problem with Enlargeit tho, it only works with the slider and image flow pictures, but not on the other ones, they still take me to the intermediate page. I have set the options below:
Enable EnlargeIt! in admin mode - Yes
Enable EnlargeIt! for registered users - Yes
Enable EnlargeIt! for guests - Yes
But still no enlargeit on my regular album thumbs. I should mention that I'm using a custom theme and my gallery is bridged with Joomla 1.5.6 using Medhi's bridge. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thx a lot for your time and hard work!
Stephane
I have no idea, but here's why it doesn't work:
EnlargeIt looks for a certain pattern via regular expression, and that's
#<!-- BEGIN enlargeit -->\s*<a\s*onclick=\"\"\s*href=\"displayimage.php\?(.*)\">\s*<img\s*src=\"(.*?)thumb_(.*?)\"\s*.*\s*width=\"(.*)\"\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s*border=\".*\"\s*.*\s*alt=\"(.*?)\"\s*title=\".*\n.*\n.*\n.*?\"\s*/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->#i
Here's what is found in your html:
<!-- BEGIN enlargeit --><a onclick="" href="displayimage.php?album=random&cat=5&pos=-117"><img src="albums/userpics/10002/5/thumb_laughlin_sunday_448.jpg" class="image" height="80" border="0" alt="laughlin_sunday_448.jpg" title="Dateiname : laughlin_sunday_448.jpg
Dateigröße : 124KB
Abmessungen : 800x533
hinzugefügt am : 26.Juni 2008"/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->
The attribute width of the thumbnail picture is missing in your HTML, so EnlargeIt won't find any matches. Either modify your html, or modify the regular expression.

Timos,
thx a lot for such a quick reply! The attribute width of the thumbnail picture is missing because I am using "Height" for the "Use dimension ( width or height or Max aspect for thumbnail )" option, instead of using "Width" or "Max Aspect". Can I change the regular expression to look for thumb height instead of thumb width, and if yes, where do I find and modify this expression?
Thx a lot for your time...
You'll find it in codebase.php.

You'll find it in codebase.php.
Timos, sorry to bug you again but I found the lines I need to change in codebase.php but I'm not sure what to change exactly. Here's what I'm looking at:
at line 329:
// get search string depending on SEF or not
if (!$ENLARGEITSET['enl_sefmode']) $ausdruck = "#<!-- BEGIN enlargeit -->\s*<a\s*onclick=\"\"\s*href=\"displayimage.php\?(.*)\">\s*<img\s*src=\"(.*?)thumb_(.*?)\"\s*.*\s*width=\"(.*)\"\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s*border=\".*\"\s*.*\s*alt=\"(.*?)\"\s*title=\".*\n.*\n.*\n.*?\"\s*/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->#i";
else $ausdruck = "#<!-- BEGIN enlargeit -->\s*<a\s*onclick=\"\"\s*href=\"displayimage-(.*)\.html\">\s*<img\s*src=\"(.*?)thumb_(.*?)\"\s*.*\s*width=\"(.*)\"\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s*border=\".*\"\s*.*\s*alt=\"(.*?)\"\s*title=\".*\n.*\n.*\n.*?\"\s*/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->#i";
Are those the right lines I need to change? ( width=\"(.*)\"\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s ? ) and if yes, what am I supposed to change them to?
The other lines I found are:
at line 277:
<!-- BEGIN thumb_cell -->
<td valign="top" class="thumbnails" width ="{CELL_WIDTH}" align="center">
and:
at line 404:
$neu_str .= '" border="0" width="'.$match[4].'" height="'.$match[5].'" name="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pid'].'" class="enlargeimg" onclick="enlarge(this);" alt="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['title'].'" id="enl'.$i.'" title="" /><br /></a>';
Again sorry to bug you but I tried a few things and couldn't get it to work so far. If you could help me out with this I would really appreciate it, but if not I understand n/p!
Thx for your time :)
Stephane
Yes that's the right place. I'm afraid I'm not an expert in regular expressions, either - it took me many hours to get this one working. You'll find many tutorials on the web.
I'd start with this:
Change
if (!$ENLARGEITSET['enl_sefmode']) $ausdruck = "#<!-- BEGIN enlargeit -->\s*<a\s*onclick=\"\"\s*href=\"displayimage.php\?(.*)\">\s*<img\s*src=\"(.*?)thumb_(.*?)\"\s*.*\s*width=\"(.*)\"\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s*border=\".*\"\s*.*\s*alt=\"(.*?)\"\s*title=\".*\n.*\n.*\n.*?\"\s*/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->#i";
to
if (!$ENLARGEITSET['enl_sefmode']) $ausdruck = "#<!-- BEGIN enlargeit -->\s*<a\s*onclick=\"\"\s*href=\"displayimage.php\?(.*)\">\s*<img\s*src=\"(.*?)thumb_(.*?)\"\s*.*\s*height=\"(.*)\"\s*border=\".*\"\s*.*\s*alt=\"(.*?)\"\s*title=\".*\n.*\n.*\n.*?\"\s*/><br /></a><!-- END enlargeit -->#i";
and
$neu_str .= '" border="0" width="'.$match[4].'" height="'.$match[5].'" name="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pid'].'" class="enlargeimg" onclick="enlarge(this);" alt="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['title'].'" id="enl'.$i.'" title="" /><br /></a>';
to
$neu_str .= '" border="0" height="'.$match[4].'" name="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pid'].'" class="enlargeimg" onclick="enlarge(this);" alt="'.$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['title'].'" id="enl'.$i.'" title="" /><br /></a>';
No idea if this works, please try out.
Just released v2.0 beta 11.
Changes since beta 10:
---------------------
- fixed a bug in ImageFlow plugin (ugly selections with firefox 3)
Seems that Firefox 3 has a new feature to select/highlight multiple parts of a web page at once. Had to update the imageflow*.js files accordingly.
Have fun!
Timo
Timos,
in codebase.php you use
$enl_path = 'albums/'.
number of times, which assumes standard location of images.
Correct way would be
$enl_path = $CONFIG['fullpath'].
At the same time, I can't it work at one of the galleries: http://images.plast.org.ua/thumbnails.php?album=77. Any idea why? It uses a trick with domain alias and RewriteRule, thought everything else works fine
AFAIK ./albums/ is the standard location for the pic files?
Your thumb images have no height, that's the reason why EnlargeIt! doesn't find any matches.

Timos,
Thx for your help! I tried your suggestion above but couldn't get it to work. What I have noticed is that it only works when I set "Use dimension ( width or height or Max aspect for thumbnail )" to "Max Aspect", I tried to set it on "Width" to see if it would also work just for testing purposes and it doesn't either, just like when I set it to "Height".
Do you have any other suggestion? If not, no big deal, I'll just stick to "Max Aspect" ;)
It would be great if you could figure out how to make it work with "Height" only or "Width" only for your next release, I think a lot of people would find it useful, I know I would :D
Again, thx for your time and the great plugin!
Stephane
One thing I forgot to ask you...when I right click on a picture, it closes it the same way it does when I left click on it! I don't know why it does that, it's probably gonna confuse people that right click to save the picture to their computer! How can I make enlargeit stay open when right-clicking on the picture?
Thanks...

To be honest: I didn't even know untill a few minutes ago that this config setting existed at all. I'll have a look at it, shouldn't be too difficult to make the plugin work with either setting.

It absolutely depends on the browser and how it handles onclick events. Opera for example let's you freely save the pic and leaves it open, so does IE and displays the pic while saving it, but after that it'll close it though. Safari, Mozilla and Chrome shrink the pic on right click, but Chrome and Mozilla will save the pic correctly if you select the corresponding menu item even if the pic as vanished long ago, while Safari will not let you save it at all. Life is beautiful. ;D
I'd recommend to show the full size version as pop-up window if you want your visitors to download the pics. That way it works in every browser.

AFAIK ./albums/ is the standard location for the pic files?
Yes, this is standard location, but you can change it in Gallery Configuration (so did I for one of the galleries). It is stored in DB, and you can retrieve it with $CONFIG['fullpath']
Quote from: Timos-Welt on September 16, 2008, 08:12:49 AM
To be honest: I didn't even know untill a few minutes ago that this config setting existed at all. I'll have a look at it, shouldn't be too difficult to make the plugin work with either setting.

Timo
Awesome, thx a lot for looking into it ;)

Thx for the explanation! So many browsers....what a nightmare! Getting my site to work correctly in both IE and Firefox gave me gray hair....lol
I'm probably gonna follow your advice and show the full size version in a pop-up window then ;)

Just released v2.0 beta 12.
Changes since beta 11:
---------------------
- new feature: textured border
- fixed: plugin didn't work if config setting 'Use thumb dimension' was not 'Max Aspect'
- fixed: plugin didn't work if config setting 'thumbnail prefix' was not 'thumb_'
- fixed: plugin didn't work if config setting 'album directory' was not set to 'albums/'
- fixed: plugin didn't work if config setting 'prefix for intermediate' was not set to 'normal_'
(please note: the maximize button will still not be available if it's not 'normal_' - that's life!)
Please make sure to correctly uninstall any previous version before installing this beta, and empty your browser cache when done!
Have fun!
Timo
Thanks so much for working on the comment function - I appreciate your time.
When I click the comment icon, the comment window opens. I type a comment and when I click the "ok" button it takes me out of the enlargeit style viewing and back to my original method (one image with a row of thumbnails beneath). I'm not sure what should happen when the "OK" button is clicked, but I assume it would go back to the enlargeit image view or say "comment added" or something...
thanks again
QuotePlease note regarding the comment AJAX snippet: No smileys yet, no edit button yet, no report to admin button yet, posted comments will be redirected to the intermediate page, layout is taken from CPG theme instead of enl_styles.css, no Captcha support yet.

Timo
anyway to make this work with the copy/ paste bbcode img URL below intermediate image v1.1 mod/hack?

Timo, great work! Now enlargeit works perfectly with thumbs set to Height, Width or Max Aspect! I was so happy when I saw your post! Thx a lot for looking into this so quickly!!!

sorry - I read your comment disclaimer but the "posted comments will be redirected to the intermediate page" part didn't register with me I guess. My apologies...
Hallo Timo,
after deinstalling the previous version and installing the current version the enlargeitfeature only works for the imageflow not for thumbnails. after downgrading to your 2.0 beta 8 everything works as expected, again.
sadly the newer betas are always being deleted by you, so the beta8 was the last one i had on my hdd.
using FF3 and IE7.

Hi,
The plugin does not seem to work, tried both version (current and the beta).
Have a look at :
http://www.yehida.co.il/gallery/index.php
when the plugin is enabled i can not press the images at all (nothing happens). though, when i use enable sef the images open regularly
please advise

I bow to your wisdom ;), thanks mate really quick replay and works perfectly now.
Got another question though - any chance for a cpmfetch integration ? currently it redirects me to the intermediate picture and then open the full size regularly (as im guessing the plugin does not deal with the intermediate view).
I don't mind going to the intermediate view, i just want the full size to open nicely ^^

Not sure what I'm doing wrong now - I click the comment icon, comment window opens, I type comment , click "OK" and it says I need to enter name and comment. www.jerrysmithphoto.com/cpg user "test" password "test", go to "Kelly Betsy" Category.
Reproduced here, I'll have a look into it - you can safely delete your test user if you like. :)
Thanks for your report, and thanks for giving me a test account and link to your gallery together with it. ;)
Just released v2.0 beta 15.
Changes since beta 14:
---------------------
- fixed: registered users couldn't post comments *sigh*
Have fun!
Timo
Well, that fixed that - when I add a comment it says it added it and if I refresh the thumbnail page, it ups the comment count. However, it doesn't seem to show any but the initial comment if you go back and view the comments thru the enlargeit interface. Is it supposed to show all comments yet? I'll add the test user back just in case...
Previous beta versions showed no Spanish language errors, problems now with the letter "ñ" and accents, why?

Does that mean thats just the way its gonna work or is there something you're trying to make it act differently? The only way I've been able to make the added comment display is to exit the browser completely - refreshing the page, switching images doesn't seem to get it to show. Thanks for doing all this work and fielding questions too.
Just released v2.0 beta 16.
Changes since beta 15:

- improved layout of comment snippet
- fixed: a possible reason for double postings

$enl_path = 'albums/'.

Correct way would be
$enl_path = $CONFIG['fullpath'].
You should use the config var instead of the hard-coded "albums".

I love your v2 of this plugin, just awesome!
One thing i noticed, in IE7 the comments are left-aligned (which i like better) but in FF3 they are centered.
Furthermore I would like to tell you some things i would really like to see/have in your plugin, as a wish for the future. And i do know that wishes not always come true.. ;D (but perhaps some of the them will go into versions in the remote future, like v3 or v4 :) )
(Please do not misinterpret my wishes! I really like what you have done and i know that you as a freecontributer are no codingslave. I am very sold on your enthusiasm bringing this plugin into a stable version!!!)

Well i never used the Highslide Plugin and the normal way of showing the pic-title of coppermine is under the pic. The way it is now, it is not centered (when a pic is upright) because of the buttons which are also shown on the top. Perhaps you'll think about it twice but i surely respect your decision. :)
Thank you anyways!

I don't think this can be realized with a plugin alone, because ATM EnlargeIt! doesn't know if there are more pictures of this album. But hey - you're a CPG developer: You're invited and very welcome to modify the core code accordingly, I'll do the corresponding Javascript modifications.

Hi Timos
This looks like an excellent plugin, which i've installed (along with slider and imageflow).
Slider and Imageflow work fine, and the image enlarges when clicked on.
However in the thumbnail view, enlargeIt doesn't appear to be active/enabled/working? Clicking on an image still takes me to the intermediate page. The enlargeIt admin button appears and all the options are configured fine, but no behaviour has changed when I click on an image in the thumbnail view.
What have I done wrong?
Just some more info, sorry:
I can get to the JS fine: http://www.mikesalway.com.au/gallery/plugins/enlargeit/js/enlargeit.js
My gallery link: http://www.mikesalway.com.au/gallery
Example thumbnails page: http://www.mikesalway.com.au/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=44
and when I click on an image, there's no EnlargeIt.
After reading the entire thread, it seems others who had this problem were due to bugs with MaxAspect etc, but they've all been fixed.
It doesn't appear to be theme-based, as if I change the theme to classic, I get the same issue.
Thanks in advance for your help.
On an additional note, is it possible that the description opens up beneath the image, instead of having to click "i" for info?
I noticed it in another similar plugin (highslide) - I liek the way the description comes out beneath without having to click on "i".
At least, it could be configurable for the user as to whether to show it.
Cheers
>when I click on an image, there's no EnlargeIt
EnlargeIt! seems to work very well with your gallery.
Opening http://www.mikesalway.com.au/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=lastup&cat=0 in IE and Firefox shows no problem at all here - animation works fine, buttons work fine, navigation works fine. Maybe you should empty your browser cache and simply try your gallery again?
>is it possible that the description opens up beneath the image
Has been requested quite some times now; I'll consider it for a future version. Sorry, no release date yet.
Hi Timos
You are correct - it does now work in IE and FF. I was testing in Chrome. It still doesn't work in Chrome from the thumbnails view - but does work from the Slider and ImageFlow (in Chrome).
Another question - how does one actually see the full size image?
Eg: if you go to this thumbnails page: http://www.mikesalway.com.au/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=15
and click on any of the images, it opens the EnlargeIt! image - then click on the "full size" icon. It loads the full size picture but still displays it in the intermediate size. There's no scrollbars or any way to actually show the full 1200px wide image.
How do we do this?
Thanks again.
Ok i've answered my own questions.

I also figured this one out - by setting the option "Show Button Maximise" to "Yes, as Pop-up window".
That opens the full size image in a new window as the full dimensions.
I'm still not sure what the default value of "Yes" is supposed to do then, as if the image is larger than the default EnlargeIt! view there's no way to see the full size.
In addition to my previous request to show the description as a expanding area under the image, I think the "Comment" feature should also appear underneath the image rather than as a new page where you can't see the image anymore. Just a small suggestion :)
Thanks for a great plugin.

It still doesn't work in Chrome from the thumbnails view
Works fine here in Chrome. I'd recommend you think about your skin again to avoid the vertical scroll bar in some browsers (XHTML problem). EnlargeIt! doesn't really work well with vertical scrolled layouts.
Quote from: mikesalway on October 17, 2008, 11:06:49 AM
Another question - how does one actually see the full size image?
EnlargeIt! at the moment can only use the viewport of your browser window to display images, and this one depends on your screen resolution and size of the browser window. The correct solution is to use the pop up function as you did.

Timo
Confirming: works fine in Chrome!
This is a fantastic plug-in. Took a while for me to work out how to get it working, but the tip about ensuring that the server folders had the correct permissions did the trick. Thanks for all your work in creating this, Timos.
I registered (with a mis-spelt username!) mainly to say thanks for this, but also to say thanks to all the Coppermine gurus who frequent the forum and whose tips I have been reading avidly for the last few weeks - your help is very much appreciated.
hi Timos
Thanks for a great piece of software. I really like it.
For a friends site i am making, I am testing your plugin.
I also have Stramms photo_shop plugin.
When using EnlargeIt! I can not add a photo to the cart.
Is there a way to implement this like the other buttons (comments, ratings)
or is there another way to add photo's to the cart while using EnlargeIt! ?
http://saadjasim.com/gallery
thanks again
Ronald
It should be quite easy for Stramm to make the neccessary AJAX snippets - he's a real coppermine expert, so simply ask him. I don't know anything about the photo shop plugin and don't use it myself, so I won't create the corresponding snippets, but I'll surely integrate them once they are done.

Timo
Timo,
Is there a way to increase the photos view count by one when someone views the photo with enlargeit?
site: http://philmontforum.com (http://philmontforum.com)
I have enlargeit set so that the applet immediately shows the full size photo. I'd like for the photo counter to increase each time a visitor views the photos using enlargeit.
Thanks! This is a great piece of work, probably my favorite feature of the gallery now.
Nevermind...
I have always viewed while logged in. I logged out of my site, viewed some photos, and the counter increased for each one.
Sorry for the trouble. Thanks again for such a great plugin.
Just released v2.12 beta.
Changes since v2.11:
---------------------
- added compatibility for Nibbler's mod 'Displaying videos from Youtube in Coppermine' (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,37962.0.html)
- fixed: select boxes were visible through enlarged image in IE6
Please make sure to correctly uninstall any previous version before installing this version, and empty your browser cache when done!
Please note, that the included Slider and Imageflow plugins have been updated accordingly.
I've added an album with YouTube movies to my demo gallery (http://cpgdev.timos-welt.de/cpg1416/thumbnails.php?theme=water_drop&album=6).
Have fun!
Timo
Edit 2008/11/18: Removed beta file because newer beta is released.
I'd just like to say WOW and THANKS!
The only problem I see with the newest version is that when I installed it, it still read as v2.11.
YouTube videos work perfectly in the applet.
Thanks again!

Please re-download the archive if you like. I fixed the version number issue and YouTube videos will now have a 'full screen' button (very useful).

wow man this is an awesome plugin i love it!!! thank u so much. there is just one question how to get the random files scrolling like in your demo page? is that another plugin for it or is it in this one?
Unzip slider_for_cpg1_4_x_v2xx.zip and upload the folder
slider to your plugins dir. Then install as an own plugin. Read the first posting of this thread:
QuoteNote for users of plugins 'ImageFlow' and 'Slider'
New versions of these plugins are included in the ZIP file. Please make sure to update them before you install the EnlargeIt! plugin. The included versions of ImageFlow and Slider are full versions, meaning that it is not neccessary to install previous versions.
See here (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,51324.0.html) for details about the Slider plugin.
heyz yes both the slider and enlargeit are working properly now im so glad that u came up with this plugin it rocks!!! just one last thing. the show picture button in the image when we click to enlarge it isnt working i mean it dont do anything what is it for?
hi!
very good plugin, one question, is it possible to integrate enlargeIT with random image from coppermine on another page?
:)
peter
Not related to this thread. Search the cpmFetch board.
Great plugin! Have been using it for sometime now and only just realised you've released several versions!!
Is there any way to keep the AJAX window open when going to the next image? Instead of dropping back to your gallery with the loading image?
No, the current release can't do that. Probably in a future version.

Would be great to see one day!
@Timo: One thing I noticed about your Slider and Imageflow plugins is that they don't properly deal with data flow when responding to the plugin hook 'plugin_block'. For this hook, the function you write should take the variable $matches as an incoming parameter and then return it so that other plugins can respond to it as well, or return an empty array or nothing if no other plugins should respond to it, like you did for 'slider' or 'imageflow'. Because you access $matches as a global, this messes up the data flow from plugin to plugin for $matches.
In my case, I use a plugin to suppress 'alblist' and 'catlist' on the main page (cat=0), and leave it alone for all other pages. So I return an empty array when I see 'alblist' and cat=0. Your plugins ignore my returned $matches and use the global. The effect is that 'alblist' shows up and my plugin is rendered impotent. Oops.
Maybe I'm missing something: is there a reason to use the global?
I modified your plugins, and everything works great. For slider, I changed this:
function slider_mainpage()
{
global $CONFIG,$matches,$lang_plugin_slider,$FORBIDDEN_SET,$SLIDERSET,$lang_meta_album_names,$META_ALBUM_SET;
to this:
function slider_mainpage($matches)
{
global $CONFIG,$lang_plugin_slider,$FORBIDDEN_SET,$SLIDERSET,$lang_meta_album_names,$META_ALBUM_SET;
and a similar thing for 'imageflow'.
I post here because it looks like your new versions of these plugins are released here. Excuse me if I should have posted on the other plugin threads.
@Timo: A request for assistance: I'm trying to move the title to the bottom of the window. I noticed in version 0.95 you removed the picture caption. So if you don't have a quick reply about how to add a caption below the image, I would be willing to look through version 0.94 to figure out how to do it. I integrated EnlargeIt with CPGPicDownload (http://cpg-contrib.org/board/index.php?topic=244.0) to add a download button, plus I have a few more buttons I'm adding so putting the title below the image gives much more room for a proper title/caption. I haven't figured out yet the data flow in your code, so I thought I'd ask for some pointers (or version 0.94).
I also integrated things with my plugin "Full-Size & Intermediate Access (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,25010.0.html)" to give granular control to groups. Ideally it would be nice to add these features into EnlargeIt (as options of course) so that you don't need multiple plugins. Would you consider contributions to your excellent plugin?
Just released v2.13 beta.
Changes since v2.11:
---------------------
- visitor can now abort loading of a picture (click on loader gif)
- messages for cancel loading and no flash plug found can now be set in lang file
- no hourglass plus cursor if IE6 is detected (caused bad performance of animation)
- added compatibility for Nibbler's mod 'Displaying videos from Youtube in Coppermine (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,37962.0.html)' so EnlargeIt will now play YouTube videos if you like
- fixed: select boxes were visible through enlarged image in IE6
- fixed: global use of $matches in imageflow and slider main functions
(new versions included; thanks Paver)
Please make sure to correctly uninstall any previous version before installing this version, and empty your browser cache when done!

It doesn't make sense to use v0.94 to do anything, because it's a really really really old version of the script. I recommend to download the current beta of the plugin and use the included enlargeit_source.js as base for manipulations. v0.94 is way old and has no advantages (but quite a few disadvantages and bugs) over 1.1.
It's time for a rewrite anyways; I hope I'll manage it to rewrite the complete Javascript part this winter, and after that it should also be able to display the pic title below the pic (and some other neat stuff like transitions).

Feel free to contribute anything, but don't forget the two worlds of AJAX (JS and PHP). BTW: EnlargeIt! currently has a setting so only registered users can access the full size version of pics (the corresponding button won't be displayed for guests if you configure it this way on the settings page). The additional value of your plugin would be that I can add a group and only members of this group can access the full size pics, correct?

Just want to let you know version numbers are wrong for latest imageflow and slider in plugin manager it shows old versions but zip is labeled correctly please advise.
On the config page the versions are correct? Then ignore it, it's just a display bug. :)
I've fixed the version numbers in the ZIP file; If you like you can download it again to get correct version numbers in plugin manager.

- if no width/height is set for a flash (SWF) file, the default will now be 400x400px
- added support for DivX web player - *.divx files can simply be uploaded to your CPG and will be played by EnlargeIt! (see here (http://labs.divx.com/WebPlayer) for further info)

Edit 2008/12/01: Removed file because next beta is released
Fantastic. I've just seen this for the first time today. I would love to use it on one of my galleries but it is missing the facility to easilly produce forum code (ie, click a button and it pastes a link to the intermediate pic to your clipboard in forum code like [url=http://www.windsurf.me.uk/cpg133/albums/userpics/10089/_MG_2406A.jpg][IMG]http://www.windsurf.me.uk/cpg133/albums/userpics/10089/normal__MG_2406A.jpg[/IMG][/url]
)
For me this is essential in this particular gallery as many people show their photo's off on a popular forum.
Looks like something I'll have to think about.
Nice Metalica clip.
Edit 2008/12/03: Removed file because next beta is releasedJust released a new beta version - v2.14b3.

- if no width/height is set for a flash (SWF) file, the default will now be 400x400px
- new: support for DivX web player - *.divx files can simply be uploaded to your CPG and will be played by EnlargeIt! (see here (http://labs.divx.com/WebPlayer) for further info)

Updated dutch language file.
Thanks Hein! :) Please re-download, I added your lang file and fixed a small glitch in enl_bbcode.php.
No worries and thanks. Would it be possible to add the background metal names into the language file(s)?
Instead of White Metal it would then say Wit Metaal in dutch etc etc
I don't think that makes sense; in fact names are far too arbitrary - or did you really know what 'white metal 2' or 'rain' was until you saw it the first time? ;)
I'll include a dynamic preview function on the plugin config page some day.
ATM I'm trying to code anything else (even if I don't need it myself at all like bbcode) just to avoid the need to renovate this f***ng config page because that's not fun, that's simply hard work, and it's very unsatisfying if you know exactly how to configure this thing yourself...
Probably I'll write a manual for EnlargeIt! before I redo the config page. ;D
I decided to use this on one site and it has worked really well.
This plugin is rapidly growing into a one and only plugin to do everything. Well done. I owe you a pint.
Timo, I have another (easy I hope) question for you...
I've downloaded the latest version of the EnlargeIt! package and have installed it on a "play site" I am building (link (http://philmontforum.com/shanehoffman.com/cpg/index.php)). This version works perfectly - at least with the single photo I have uploaded so far.
My question is this: How can I get rid of the "RANDOM IMAGES" table row above the slider. I'd like to have just the slider load with no "label" above it. I've gone through all of the slider code, but I know about as much about code as I do about brain surgery.
Thanks again for such a wonderful plugin.

Open codebase of slider plugin.
Find
starttable("100%", $lang_meta_album_names[$SLIDERSET['slider_album']]);
and change to
starttable("100%", "");

The new version works a treat in Safari and FF but in IE7 (at least for me) I cannot copy and paste the bb code to the clipboard. Just going through my IE settings to see if I can work out why
Nasty IE bug. I'll think about a solution.
BTW - nice new way to open a pic directly after loading the page:
http://cpgdev.timos-welt.de/cpg1416/thumbnails.php?album=4&enlarge=34
Hmmm now how to combine these... ;)

Thanks very much, your implementation is beautiful!
Some things I have to do playing around with your gallery:
* For videos without title, the buttons are not displayed right-aligned as they should
* BBCode and histogram for videos don't make sense - the buttons should be hidden for anything else then pics
Please post your modifications to enl_bbcode.php - perhaps others will find them useful!

It wasn't exactly brain surgery but for those who need the intermediate sized pic to be displayed in their forums instead of the thumb simply open enl_bbcode.php from your gallery root and change the line
$thumb_url = get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'thumb'); //thumb url
to
$thumb_url = get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'normal'); //thumb url
Good call on hiding the buttons. Just when you think something is perfect you find something to improve upon. That's life I suppose :)

No, that's what beta versions are for :)
Just exchanged today's beta file. Two fixes:
- buttons for histogram and bbcode were visible for videos
- buttons were left-aligned for videos without title
Now I can sleep well. :D
I'll change my install tonight.
I mentioned the changes on a windsurfing forum where most of the uploads come from. The comments were all positive.

Hi
thanks a lot for this great plugin. it is really the best.
I installed it on my page and it was working well untill i enabled the Joomla Bridge. after that funny things start to happens.
for example:
1- i can only open one photo. if i try to open another one, the page just become big and the photo is opened but i don't know where.
2- same thing happens if i try to enlarge the photo.
here is the link so that you can understand what i'm saying well.
please help ASAP
Regards
sorry for the second post but i just discovered that this problem is only with Internet Explorer. Firefox and safari work perfectly.
also, i wanted to add that i'm using Mehdi's Coppermine Bridge
sorry again...forget to add the link

I have no idea, sorry. I'd start by fixing your html (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Flightsymphony.net%2Fgal%2F).
This is not a problem with the plugin but something wrong with your page.
In your template_css.css file you seem to have the line direction:rtl;
Which is known to cause problems in IE.
This is not related to this plug-in so you will have to discuss it in the relavent place.
**edit - Cross posted with Timos there **
thanks a lot 4 replying.
the strange thin is that it is working well without the plugin and it also works if i disable the Bridge.
The original Javascript (not this plugin) has finally made it to version 1.1:
http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/english/11/
The PDF documentation might interest some users of this plugin; many things are explained in detail there that are also valid for the EnlargeIt! CPG plugin.

im having a little problem with the new version, when users right click over the full images (i skip medium ones) they arent able to download the picture all they can save is the blank.png any way to prevent this to happen?
in firefox when i right click im able to save the full picture but 79% of my traffic comes from IE
any suggestion?
Hello,
First off, I would like to thank Timos-Welt for this terrific plug-in.
Second, I am trying to get what's happening to makatron to happen to me as I don't want users downloading images.
I have this add-on currently installed http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=33782.0 (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=33782.0) but when I use Enlargeit, it doesn't work any more.
How would you go about having it work with Enlargeit?
Thanks in advanced.

the thing is that my website is a nightlife picture kind of site so i want the ppl being able to download their images
I can't remember announcing EnlargeIt! as 'the plugin where people can download your pictures', nor as 'the plugin where noone can download your pictures'. In fact, the plugin does nothing at all to avoid or realize that.
If you want to make sure that everyone can download your pictures, write yourself an AJAX snippet for that purpose (there's already a few of them in folder toGalleryRoot). Shouldn't be too difficult, use the BBCode one as base for your own implementation and don't forget to contribute your code here.
If you want to make sure that noone can download your pictures, simply do not up them on the web.
If EnlargeIt! doesn't do what you need, uninstall it or improve it and contribute.
the funny thing is that i was reading the code to write a snippet to add a download button
ill post something here when im done
once again timo, the plugin is so friggin awesome!!

where can i mod the code so i can pre-load 2 or 3 next pictures instead just the next one?
Get latest version of enlargeit_source.js here (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/english/11/building_blocks.php).
Find this function:
function enl_makedraggable(enl_imgid)
The code that pre-loads the previous and the next pic is this one:
if (enl_preload)
{
for(var enl_i=0; enl_i<2; enl_i++)
{
enl_nextpic = enl_getnext(enl_imgid,enl_i);
if (enl_nextpic)
{
enl_pictoget = enl_nextpic.getAttribute('longdesc');
setTimeout('enl_preloadit("'+enl_pictoget+'")' ,30);
}
}
}
Don't misunderstand the loop. This code calls a function named enl_getnext that takes two parameters: The id of the current pic, and a flag. If the flag is 0, it will check for a previous pic. If the flag is 1, it will check for a next pic.
You could use some kind of iteration to make it preload the next 2 and the previous 2 pictures. Replace the above code with this:
if (enl_preload)
{
for(var enl_i=0; enl_i<2; enl_i++)
{
enl_nextpic = enl_getnext(enl_imgid,enl_i);
if (enl_nextpic)
{
for(var enl_j=0; enl_j<2; enl_j++)
{
enl_morenextpic = enl_getnext(enl_nextpic.id,enl_j);
if (enl_morenextpic)
{
enl_pictoget = enl_morenextpic.getAttribute('longdesc');
setTimeout('enl_preloadit("'+enl_pictoget+'")' ,30);
}
}
enl_pictoget = enl_nextpic.getAttribute('longdesc');
setTimeout('enl_preloadit("'+enl_pictoget+'")' ,30);
}
}
}
Then use this packer (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/packer/) to generate enlargeit.js out of your modified enlargeit_source.js.
The result: Two pics in each direction are preloaded automatically. Hope this helps a bit.
Probably I'll include real iteration somewhen.

Timo

Hello,
I was wondering which file I have to edit to alter what's displayed in the title bar (where the info buttons and image title is) when an image is zoomed in.
I am trying to add Stramms shopping cart menu into it but am not sure whether it will work or not and wanted to try it out.
Thanks in advanced.

First try to understand how EnlargeIt! (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de) (the Javascript) works. Then have a look how the plugin uses it.
Read this (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/english/11/Enlargeit_11_Operation_Manual_ENGLISH.pdf), especially the chapter about buttons in general and AJAX buttons. Afterwards, have a look at codebase.php and understand how the buttons are realized. Shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks for your quick and helpful response.
I will post again if I run into issues or if it works.
Thanks again.
How do you resize the window if you want to display youtube videos?
Im linking in to a HD video I have uploaded but it will only display half the size compared to when I view it directly through youtube.

How do you resize the window if you want to display youtube videos?
You can't. The video size will be identical for all YouTube videos. It is defined in codebase.php, you can change it there globally. Find this line and have a look at its end (480/385):
else if ($enl_filetyplower == 'ytb' ) $neu_str .= '"><img '.$enl_pluscursor.'src="'.$match[2].$CONFIG['thumb_pfx'].$match[3].'" longdesc="swf::'.str_replace(".jpg","",str_replace("youtube_","http://www.youtube.com/v/",$CURRENT_PIC_DATA['filename'])).'&fs=1&rel=0::480::385';

Timo, I have a quick question.
Is there any way to have enlargeit show the photo description when you mouse over the "open" or "enlarged" photo? Load the photo's description in a alt tag?
Thanks!
Shane
Internet Explorer often 'forgets' tool tips on the screen, showing them although the picture is already gone, which leads to a significant drop in animation performance on slower computers. Precondition for a fluent animation is the absence of any kind of browser generated tool tips. Only solution would be to write a function to generate own little boxes on screen that look like tool tips but that are controlled by the javascript and not by the browser, but that's big effort for small benefit, so I probably won't do it. Feel free to add such a functionality to the EnlargeIt! javascript if you like.
hi, great job !! I really like your plug, simply a little question, is there any way to use enlageIT! only on certain pages/ Album ? ( ex : just on index and one specific album )
Open codebase.php with a text editor.
Find this line:
$html = str_replace($match[0],$neu_str,$html);
This is the actual replacement of the thumbnail code; you can add conditions here.
An example - replace the line by this:
if ((strpos($REQUEST_URI,"index")==true) || ($CURRENT_PIC_DATA['aid'] == 1))
{
$html = str_replace($match[0],$neu_str,$html);
}
EnlargeIt! will only be active now if the string "index" is found in the URL, or if the pic's album ID is 1. This solution may not be exactly what you're looking for, but you will surely understand how it works and find out yourself what you want.

Timo
Is there any way to make the arrows jump to the next page of thumbs at the end of a page. Having to come out of EnlargeIt, click on the next tab then re-open EnlargIt seems a little clunky.
I don't think that something like this can be realized with a plugin. The plugin doesn't know if there are more files; it changes the source code on a per-thumbnail-basis.
Hi guys. great plugin which ive been using for the last two days and all seems to run really smooth.
One thing i have noticed though, maybe its just me being thick but, i cant find anyway to delete an image from the gallery since using this plugin.
Also while this plugin is really fantastic, would it be possible to still use the ecard funtion, cant seem to get to it since using Enlargeit.
Thanks
Warm regards
Pixel
If you are in admin mode the standard interface should be available, unless you have configured Enlargit to operate in admin mode of course.
Thanks yes, ive found that i can delete a file using edit files in each individual album,so thats good. Just wondered about this ecard function, members do seem to like it, and i cant seem to get to it since using Enlargit

Hi,
Just loving it :D
1 little question and 1 remark.
1) At http://www.ff.fm/fotoalbum/thumbnails-13.html I've got .flv-files.
OS = Fedora 10 (me)
Firefox : movies will play in either setting 'OS FLV' and 'rphMedia'
Opera : movies won't play in either setting
OS = Windows Vista (friend)
Firefox + MSIE
I thought maybe this (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,34182.0.html) would interfere, but then the other browsers should have problems to?
Is this an error at my side with opera, or did I do something wrong with the plugin, or is it a (known?) bug?
2)
In Firefox the slider doesn't give the magnifier glass, but my normal pointer hand. Opera doesn't give the magnifier at all.
I edited ./plugins/slider/codebas.php and changed
.sliderimg { cursor: pointer; }
to
.sliderimg { cursor: url(plugins/enlargeit/js/pluscur.cur), pointer; }
Opera doesn't support this style declaration at all.
Maybe you can add something like this to the readme of slider?
As said.
I love your plugins.
Thank you very much.
I've found another 'problem'.
I'm jusing the Flickr like annotation from Nibbler (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,41715.0.html).
Is it possible to have this layver put over the image which is shown by EnlargeIt!?
Or must I ask this question on the thread of that plugin?
I know I've got the flu, but am I missing stuff?
1. When having a picture maximized, why can't I reset it to the previous size?
Quote from: ff on February 08, 2009, 10:50:47 PMOpera : movies won't play in either setting
Works fine here in Opera under Windows and Linux. Most probably a configuration issue on the client systems. Check if other flash files work correctly.
Quote
...magnifier glass...
Optical gimmick. It is meant to work only in certain browsers, because some of them (e. g. IE6) have animation performance issues when using custom mouse cursors. Opera doesn't support this style declaration at all, that's absolutely correct. You're a wise man.

Not compatible.
Quote

Because it does not make sense to do it. If you want both kinds to be available to the visitor, the only reason for intermediate sized files is to avoid loading the full size pic. Once the big one is loaded, there's absolutely no need for an intermediate sized file anymore.

i am not sure if this is the right place to put this.. but here goes..
how do i put a copyright notice on the pop up image?
text - "all photos are copyrighted by their respective owners, copying in full or part is punishable by law"
thanks!
Hi Timos-Welt grate plugin,thanks.I want to ask you something;
I install your plugin and it work perfect... but in my gallery i uploading via batch upload and because i have the histogram enabled every time when i uploading pictures i have also histogram (i have to unmark all the histogram.png files :( ) do you know if its possible the histograms to dont appear in the batch upload list when i trying to upload pics,because i have to manually unmark them every time from the list with the files to upload ?
Thank you :)
Hi...
A very good job.
I used a little coppermine.
Now I would like to have my own gallery, so I'm checking plugins, and I'm trying to learn about coppermine.
My know how on PHP and other related with Web is very poor, so I have to ask here.
If I use EnlargeIT, I'm unable to vote, comment and so on when a picture is enlarged.
The button show me that the page enl_info.php?pid=202&enl_img=sliderpic28clone&enl_rndit=1511 is not found.
Do I have to install or configure something else?
Tnx

I'm sorry
I mistaked the upload of the php files on the root of the gallery.
I've been looking for a way to add the caption beneath the picture, but can't find it.
What file is opened when you click an image?
codebase.php?
enlargeit.js?
or one of the enl_*.php files in the root?
I just don't seem able to locate the first 'page'.
(and I don't understand js and ajax ;))
The original EnlargeIt! javascript is not designed to display the caption beneath the picture, so you'll probably find yourself having a very hard time realizing this. Sorry - not possible out of the box.
Hi there, first off, this is plugin is so sweet, its the best I have come across but at some point it interferes with my statistics....
I use this plugin together with the slider and i also use http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,23945.0.html the Detailed Statistics Mod.
I found that the button to the statistics gives a blanc screen if the EnlargeIt is activated. When I deactivate it for admin it works when I am logged in. I can live with that, but the real problem lies in the fact that when you click on a foto through the slider or anywhere else the coppermine counter does count it, but will not be shown in the Last viewed pictures (display_thumbnails('lasthits', $cat, 1, $CONFIG['thumbcols'], 3, true);)
Also the view count does not add up.
If I disable EnlargeIt for guests also the standard picture viewer from Coppermine is back and when clicked on a picture it is also shown in Last viewed pictures. But I offcourse would like to use the EnlargeIT instead of the standard viewer since it so much better, and you get even the slider in categories.
So is it possible to have the last viewed pictures and the view count also to record the pictures that are shown through EnlargeIT ?
Thanks
Cath
It is not possible for me to release something like this plugin and make it work together with any other plugin or even thousands of available mods.
If it works with certain mods: Fine.
If not: Decide what's more important for you, and either undo the mod, or uninstall EnlargeIt!

Understandable, I would choose for EnlargeIt, no doubt, but just to make sure, after some checking I believe the things I mentioned are standard things from CPG, I only use the mod to produce a better view of the statistics.
Maybe I am wrong, since I dont know so much of CPG :-[ Can you let me know if the viewcount of pictures is working with you when using the EnlargeIt view? (if so than I have to remove some modification) .
I believe the same would apply for the last viewed pictures.
Thanks
Cath
View count works for me as expected. The standard view counter only works for users, not for admins.
Hello this plugin is great feature it is really nice, I have 2 galleries and a test gallery, it works fine with 1 of the galleries and the test gallery but the other one I have a Permanent image links mod and with that one it don't work I was wondering if it would be possible for the two to work together or if I will have to choose which one I want..
Here is the link to the Permanent image links mod thread I use.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to post a problem. First, let me tell you that this plugin is great, brings fresh air to my old photo gallery! And the problem...
Installation and operation is fine, except that when I enable the slider or/and imageflow plugins, I cannot browser user categories anymore. I get the "There was an error while processing a database query" error. But the slider/imageflow and enlargeit work fine in the first page. Could you please help??? I use the 2.14 version with the included plugins.
Thanks in advance, I hope there's a solution...
@purplefreak: read this (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,53290.msg285935.html#msg285935)
@jimbeam2: post a link to your gallery
gallery is at http://entefktirio08.codepoets.gr but it gives the error I mentioned if you log in as a guest or registered user. So I could only give you an admin pass. But how?
If you trust me, send me admin data to your gallery via PM, I'll have a look at it and try to find the bug.

Ok, done that. I have also made this little progress: The debug msg is:
There was an error while processing a database query.
While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg14x_pictures AS p WHERE filename like '%.jpg' AND filename not like 'youtube_%' AND approved = 'YES' AND cpg14x_pictures.aid IN (4,5,6,7,8,9,13,14,15,17,18,26,21,22,23,24,25) ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 16" on 0
mySQL error: Unknown column 'cpg14x_pictures.aid' in 'where clause'
File: /var/www/vhosts/codepoets.gr/subdomains/entefktirio08/httpdocs/include/functions.inc.php - Line: 250
and if I open the relevant codebase.php for the slider plugin, I notice the code:
$slider_query = "SELECT * FROM {$CONFIG['TABLE_PICTURES']} AS p WHERE filename like '%.jpg' AND filename not like 'youtube_%' AND approved = 'YES' $slider_FORBIDDEN_SET $META_ALBUM_SET ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT $sliderlimit";
which means that the
$slider_FORBIDDEN_SET $META_ALBUM_SET
is causing trouble...
Did this help at all???
Ok, by deleting the above offending entry, problem seems to be fixed...
I will return if not!
Thanks for offering a hand mate...
I can reproduce it here. If one of the devs reads this:
The resulting query is something like
SELECT * FROM cpgdev1416pictures AS p WHERE filename like '%.jpg' AND filename not like 'youtube_%' AND approved = 'YES' AND cpgdev1416pictures.aid IN (4,5,6,7,8,9,13,14,15,17,18,26,21,22,23,24,25) ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 16
MySQL doesn't like the part cpgdev1416pictures.aid
and reports that it can't find the table. Simply replacing it by aid
makes the query work. This one comes from one of the two variables $FORBIDDEN_SET or $META_ALBUM_SET. I can't remember having any problems with this in previous CPG versions. Any help?
Hello again, another question that bugs me...
Is there a way to mess with the enlarged template so that it displays comments under the image? (scrollable would be the best)
Thanks
Just released v2.15beta1 (edit: removed attached file because newer beta is released).
Changes:
- implemented a first version of an eCard feature, but it is NOT working correctly yet, so please turn it off for now
- smaller page source code, pics don't need IDs anymore
- greatly improved display of scaled images in IE7 and IE8 (bicubic resize) if pic is bigger than browser window
- new setting on config page: shadow color
If you like to try it out, please uninstall the previous version before installing the new one, and don't forget to clear your browser cache after installing.
Have fun!
Timo
Installed it and tried it. Works perfectly. Indeed a good improvement for IE users. Thanks Timos.
Hello Timos-Welt,
I have several feature requests for your plugin and was hoping I could schedule a time to speak with you to go over pricing and availability. As I understand it you are actively working on the code as a side project and have been releasing revisions to coppermine users at no cost. I was hoping you could integrate these features and am willing to compensate you for your time. I read through the previous postings and noticed several of these features have already been requested.
Request Summary:
1. New AJAX navigation buttons to allow downloading of fullsize image.
2. New AJAX navigation button to allow ecard function (noticed this in your latest beta release)
3. Display associated comments below the picture in a scoll box or show one comment with a "see all comments" button that goes to the existing comment snippet.
4. Slideshow feature that supports play, pause, and stop with a slidebar where users can control the speed.
5. A method for forwarding to the next page in a multipaged album once the last picture has been reached
6. A method for going back to previous page once the first picture on a secondary page has been reached (request 3 reversed)
7. Addition of smileys in the existing comment ajax snippet .
8. Option to allow adding content that displays in the AJAX GUI above or below the photos.
9. Would like the ability to enable and disable these features via the config page. For request 8 i'd like it to support modifying the color of the text along with bold, italic, and underline. For the slideshow i'd like it to refrain from closing and opening the images but instead keep the gui open and flip through the pictures.
Thank you in advance,
-Steve

I don't think this is possible without changing the core code of coppermine. The plugin currently does not 'know' if there are more pics or not. Probably I'll ask the devs to give me a possibility with cpg 1.5.

Thank you for taking my requests into consideration. Your plugin greatly enhances the visualizations in coppermine and I look forward to your future releases.
I understand you work on the script in your spare time as a hobby. I'm not sure how much free time you have and need the requested features integrated. Do you have an associate that could assist in the development of the next revision? I am willing to fund the project in order to shorten the completion date.
Just wanted to share an additional feature request I accidentally left out in the previous posting.. Would it be possible to add another AJAX Snippet button to incorporate the "addthis" button? (http://www.addthis.com/) It is a button that detects the page it is on and then allows the user which service to share the link to. I believe the code is ready to adapt you just need to create a button in order to integrate it into the AJAX gui. This would allow users not only to use the ecard function to e-mail the photo but also to post it to other social networking sites with a click of a button.
Thank you in advance and look forward to hearing your feedback

Download button does not appear on the bar. The function is there but the icon is missing. I first thought it had something to with the compressHTML plugin but that was not it. Moving the enlargedit plugin before the slider plugin does not solve the problem. Any idea?
Please clear your browser cache and make sure that you updated all files correctly to the newest version.
Works fine here: http://cpgdev.timos-welt.de/cpg1416
Reupload every file. Cleared cache. No luck so far. All the other icons do display as expected.
Your gallery works fine for me? See screenshot.
Downloaded and tested v2.15beta2 and v2.15beta3 and both worked.
Tested as admin with admin mode enabled in config - Successful
Tested as admin with admin mode disabled in config - Successful
Tested as guest with guest mode enabled in config - Successful
Tested as guest with guest mode disabled in config - Successful
Tested as registered user with guest mode disabled in config - Successful
The Download button is shown according to the rules set forth in the config. Everything appears to be working with the plugin in my installation of coppermine.
Thank you for adding the download button Timos-Welt. I know you were working on the ecard function and I sidetracked you with the download button request. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your work.
Right. I'm going to put my clue-bat to use tomorow on the systems admin. Tracked it down to a malfunctioning ISA server at work.. At home the problem dissapears like snow for the sun. Timos, great work! :D

When using the ecard function it auto detects the username and e-mail address but it doesn't use it correctly once the mail is sent.
The recipient gets an e-mail with subject: An e-card from for you
And in the e-mail it says: Sent by from IP x.x.x.x at Mar 25, 2009 at 10:01 PM (Gallery time)
If the user deletes the autodetected username and enters a different name manually it will work. It just doesn't work with the autodetect feature.
Post a link to your gallery for a start...
I think I've found the bug.
steve6one7: Does the attached enl_ecard.php fix it?
Edit: Removed file
That patch did resolve the name issue in the e-mail but if the recipient clicks the "Alternate link if the e-card does not display correctly" the name isn't fixed. It fills it in as: "undefined"
Also when using the ecard function once the mail is successfully sent and you click the button to go back to the ajax gui it shows a warning under the e-mail fields with "Warning: invalid email address: ()". Hello again!
Is there a way that the full comment is shown instead of only the first line followed by (...) ?
Thank you ;)
The full comment is already shown AFAIK - please post a link or a screenshot what you mean?
Ok the plugin is now working and it is very nice but for groups that do not have the plugin turned on for (such as admin group) or javascript disabled when you try to view images under random or most viewed, last uploaded etc it gives error message "Critical error There was an error while processing a database query." But when you view the files the long way as clicking through albums to get to the picture it works fine. Here is the error message it produces in debug mode.
While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg1410_pictures WHERE approved = 'YES' ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT -1" on 0
mySQL error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-1' at line 1
Please and Thank You for any help you can give.
Please post a link to your gallery and a test account and set EnlargeIt! settings so that it is used for anonymous users but not for registered.
Hallo,
I`ve just translated this great plugin into Slovak and Czech language.
Hope it will be useful for you...
Little notice:
The EnlargeIt! plugin doesn`t work with Stramm`s cpg modpack http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,28367.0.html (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,28367.0.html).
Thank you.

Thanks for your contribution. I have installed the modpack together with EnlargeIt! and everything is working fine as far as I can see. But I don't use all features of the modpack. It seems to depend what is active and what isn't.
Ok here the information and EnlargeIt is turned off for registered users.

I can reproduce the error. And the error goes away if you uninstall EnlargeIt!, so you are sure that it's the plugin that causes it? Can't believe that to be honest.
I'm not sure what causing the error, I noticed it doing that after I installed the plugin, I'l look into it more thanks for your help.
Did you try switching the order of the plugins?
Ok I got it fixed there was something wrong in my theme.php file, I had a different theme that had same layout style so I just copied it and now everything works again.

for me its working fine....but the problem is wen i click full size its not displaying the actual full size of the photos....instead its displaying a little larger version of the intermediate image on EnlargIt! ........ Is there any way to fix this?
Hello again after viewing some of the images I have that are really big resolution I noticed that the above quote is happening, I looked through the forum to see if there was a answer to this question and couldn't find one. Is there a way to change this? so when it displays full size it will show the actual full size. I want to try to stay away from the intermediate page if possible. Thanks.
Set max button to open in a popup on the settings page.
well I have it already set to show full size which most do enlarge to the full size so the max button don't appear, so there maybe a way I could get the max button to show even in the full view for the larger images?
Sorry, no. Max button only appears if the intermediate file is being enlarged.
Version 2.15 final is out. ;)
Download in the first posting of this thread.
Just a quick question I was wondering when a user view the Comment snippet if be able to say that they need to register to be able to post a comment. Thanks.
Edit the php file of your language to your needs. You can find it in the lang directory; all you need is a text editor, for example notepad.exe.
One problem, i dont know if its from my browser Sea Monkey (Linux) ore maybe is a bug, the new version don't want to open Last additions* if i try to open last addition Enlarge it stop working ;(

Yes they work now,but early today i try to check the latest addition and my enlargeit and slider block !
If i get again the error i will post the error log :) I forget to copy it .
Hello,
I`ve got problem, that I can`t sort out by myself. ???
The full-size pop-up window doesn`t fit to image size. It seems like it has exact sizes, that are given by EnlargeIt!
Changes in theme.php (etc. margin, padding...) in function theme_display_fullsize_pic()
don`t take any effect. Changes in script.js only make window bigger.
I couldn`t found any solution to this mini problem in the cpg forum. The main reason of writing to this thread is the connection between the EnlargeIt and this problem. After uninstalling this plugin, the window auto changes it`s sizes depending on image sizes.
The situation now- now.jpg
The situation without enlargeIt- without.jpg
My site: http://www.dc-foto.com/gallery/ (http://www.dc-foto.com/gallery/)
Please, give me some advice how to correct it.
Thank you very much for your help,
Drahus
Unable to replicate the issue. Works as expected for me. Possibly unrelated issue: you have a double closing body tag, so there's something fishy on your page... Maybe that is confusing some browsers. Try validating your site.

That's correct; EnlargeIt! doesn't now the exact size of the fullsize pic and therefore opens the pop up with a default size that should be fine for most visitors/pics.

Hi, real nice plugin :) Had to disable mouse scroll wheel navigation because on boxes with vertical scroll bars, the mouse navigation would switch pictures instead of scrolling.
Is there any way to increase the size of the nav buttons at the top of an image (info, comment, etc.)?
Also, is there any way to navigate to the default picture info page (with vote rating, comments etc. all on the same page) if EnlargeIt is enabled?

Yes, simply resize the button graphics and replace them (clear your browser cache afterwards). See attached examples. Buttons have to be square and all buttons have to have the same size. Then edit codebase.php and correct the offset value in every line that contains the word enl_buttonoff - at the moment, these are multiples of 16; if you use the attached buttons, you must make multiples of 24 out of it.

Turn of all buttons except the info button and select the right option for it on the config page.

Thank you in advance,
-Steve
Hi Timo,
VERY NICE plug-in and I just love it.
However.... I would really appreciate if especially point 4 and 5 would be integrated in a future version.
Number 5 is very interesting because it would really help forwarding beyond the current page.
Maybe I’m wrong but isn't the problem doing this, the same as doing a slideshow? The slideshow must also know the next pages files or does it not work like this?
Anyway it's a great plug-in and as you properly know people always wants’ more ;D
Link to the gallery I’m working on if it has any interest galleri.ansif.dk (http://galleri.ansif.dk)
I'm rather inept at coding, but I would like to try and integrate this plugin (which is Awesome!) with Stramm's Photo Shop plugin. What file in EnlargeIt do I need to edit to include php in the enlarge it box either above or below the picture?
Thanks!
This is not possible, because EnlargeIt! is not designed to do it. I recommend to implement an additional AJAX snippet (start by modifying an existing one like eCard or comment snippet).
Hi,
I have a problem when viewing flv files: when I click on a video file the "loading" animation appears and nothing happens for some time.
I guess because it loads the whole file before it shows up the "screen" with the option to play.
This is fine for little videos but it tages too long for bigger files.
How can I change so that the video can be started before it loads completely?
TNX for any help!!

Yeah, sorry for the missing link foto.edoitaly.com
I've seen that with firefox and IE8 it works correctly and only chrome has the problem.
Works fine in Chrome for me. Actual link is http://foto.edoitaly.com/ (a link is something that can be clicked, "foto.edoitaly.com" is not a link, but the subdomain name only...)

Sorry, but I stupidly forgot to ask - what's the right option for this (being able to navigate to the default page)? I messed around with various options but couldn't figure it out. Also does the 'Close' button need to be disabled as well?
And is there any way I could add text (e.g. 'Vote', 'Comment') below the respective buttons, hyperlinking to the right action? Thanks :)

Thanks for those larger buttons, I'd been using them for a while - I just realized though that they're not displaying properly in IE. I edited the multipliers as you said, and the buttons look fine in FireFox, but in IE the sizes are off. Did I do something incompletely? I've attached a screenshot of how the buttons look in IE.

That's an IE bug. Once an image file has been viewed with IE, it will keep the dimensions, even if you replace it with another file that is bigger or smaller, even if you clear your browser cache. Try on a different machine to see that I mean. I don't know a solution.

Hi,
I have a problem with EnlargeIt! instalation onto my Coppermine gallery (integrated with Joomla 1.5 by Mehdi's bridge). I get to the EnlargeIt! configuration tab (in admin menu) and then I change some settings (mainly - enabling the plugin for guests). Then I press 'Submit' button. When I go to the EnlargeIt! tab once again, I see the settings just chosen are NOT SAVED, so I only see the default 'factory' :) settings. No way to change the settings, which means I'm not able to run the plugin.. any sugestions?
I tried the following, none of which worked:
1) search the internet for solution
2) changed mode of plugin files to 755
3) the settings in the beginning of file enlargeit.js are not all necessary settings for the plugin
Maybe there is a path to the configuration file (or maybye it is stored somewhere else), where settings are, so that I could manually change them, without visual configurator.
Thanks for help, would greatly appreciate,
Radek
Great plugin, Timos-Welt. I wanted to be able to navigate with keyboard arrows and this gave me what I wanted.
It seems I am missing out on the buttons, though. I enabled a few and none of them showed up. It seems to be the same issue as Pascal where the buttons don't show up, and textures failed to work. However, I'm using plain old English.

Thanks.
Nevermind. It turned out that Dreamweaver didn't upload the image files because I have it set not to include .png during synchronizations. I forced the uploads and now the buttons show up.
Thanks for the great plugin.
Hey. First off, great plugin, I'm really loving it.
The only problem (and I mean the ONLY problem!) I am having is there is no "Delete" button for users to delete their uploaded photos.
For example, in default view you can allow users to delete their uploaded files but there is a button for deleting - is there a way to add a delete code without altering any of the default code?
Hey it worked fine!
you are very talented!
But i have one question, is it possible to add emoticons at the comments tab.
Cause i cant see any emoticons when i'm using EnlargeIt.
Hope it can.. cause i love it!

Hi,
I really enjoy this plugin, and only miss one feature: is it possible to show the picture's description below the image?
To be clear, on the thumbnail page http://www.die-mertins.de/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=42 (http://www.die-mertins.de/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=42) you see the description "Der Aufzugsschacht von La Grande Arche" below the image "Struktur 1". I would like to see this text also below the enlarged image. Can this be done?
Thanks and regards

Timos, is it possible, to add comment windows directly under the picture? ( picture will show up, with comment form below)
It is OK right now, but since I implemented your plugin I got 1 new comment per week :/
Will be easier if users dont have to click special icons to add comment.

Found the problem.
enl_cnt.php updates the hit counter but does not update the table "pictures" field "mtime" with current date/time "now()".
Added the statement and now it works great.
Is it possible to replace the current pop-up window with this EnlargeIt? I mean to open the photos from each photo url/page and not from album or main site page.

I have installed Slider and EnlargeIt. For the most part it's working very well. However, when I click on a picture in the slider bar, I have it open in full size. If I then hover over the buttons, the tool tips either don't appear or it takes a long time for them to appear. If I go into one of the albums (currently only have 2 with pictures in them) and click on a photo, the tool tips appear quicker in there, but still not immediately. The link to my page is http://ravensonline.net/bandphotos/index.php. I've set up a test user, with both the user name and password being test.
Also, is it be possible to have the album name display in the title bar next to the image name?
Thanks for your help.
Check your settings for the Slider - your home page has my computer running nearly at 100% cpu load. (windows task manager)
Also you should also look at the file sizes of your images - one that I picked at random was sized at 827.86 KB. That was much larger than the resulting pop-up size and quality justified.
One or both of these fixes will improve things, but you must remember that you can only load a certain level of active js to your visitor's computers before it gets to be too much to bear.
i-imagine, thanks for your reply. However, I don't know what slider settings I would change. I used the defaults on it. When I check my cpu load on the first page (after the login) I'm only at 10%. If I check it when a picture is enlarged, it was at 66%.
The pictures are much larger than the pop-up size. I have it set to full size, but they are somehow confined to a window that fits the screen, which is actually my preference. I did not compress the file any before it was uploaded from my digital SLR camera. This is going to be a site for parents to upload their photos from the various events, and if they have to compress the photos, they won't do it.
Besides the coppermine files, we will have 6 plug-ins running (currently only 5 until we get the email feature to work). Is that too many?
First I must compliment the author - I have just installed this on a test gallery and it is very well done!
I looked in the wrong place as regarding the size of your images. Another random selection gave this as a result...
3456 x 2304 pixels which (in my opinion) is of a size that "asks a lot" to be resized into a viewable window.
Do you have it set to show the Enlarge to pic in as full or intermediate? Are you resizing your images when they are uploaded?
I saw some differences with using various sized images from here, on my test gallery, but on a second visit to your site the tools/menu links came right up with the images from the Slider, within 1/4 second.
If you read the initial post in this thread you will find suggested ways to speed the loading - try those. Beyond that I would also suggest that you encourage your users to try to resize, make sure that you are resizing your intermediates too.
i-Imagine, I do have the Enlarge to pic in as full. No, I'm not resizing my pictures. I probably should, but I know the parents that will be uploading will not be resizing their photos and I was trying to test it out like they would be using it.
Do you know if I can get the album name added in the title bar with the photo name and how I would do it?
Hi TIme, thanks for that great plug/in.
Would it be possible to add also slideshow functionality to it? Then it would really cover it all.
THanks
ivo
Is there any possibility to change Title of the image ( which is next to navbar ) into category or album the picture is from?
Solution: just change alt section in codebase.php
Next question. How to move title of the image under it ( still in border )
Quote from: emerz on August 24, 2009, 02:24:52 AM

Added the statement and now it works great.
I have the same updating problem while using Enlargeit. Could you expand on the "statement" you used to correct this issue using Enlargeit? I have no coding skills in PHP and have tried to find the equivalent code in Displayimage.php with no success.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Mike.

BUT
How can I use the FACEBOOK PLUGIN with EnlargeIt?
ok so i love this plugin so thank you very much for all your time and efforts....
i made a small "hack" mod to two files to allow the same option for comments as the current info button has...
so maybe some people will find this useful if they wish to have the full comments features available until when and if more comment functions are coded into the ajax interface...
long story short this gives you the option to have the comments button take users to the same "intermediate" page that the info button can...thus allowing for the "original" comments routines to be used....so just like the info button you can set the comments button to go to the "intermediate" page instead of the ajax snippet...

i basically just copied the existing routines for the info button but ported them into a similar working solution for the comments button...
cheers and have fun....
How to make the File description appear below the picture?
I meant, users don't have to click on the FILE INFORMATION BUTTON so they could see it.
Also, is it possible not to show the DISPLAYED TIMES on the FILE INFORMATION PAGE? :D
;)

Hi all,
how can i include the slideshow into the random pics?
Slider, Imageflow, Enlargelt! is Aktivated.
enlargeit.js have Mod is 0777

# Read docs before posting
# Search the board before asking questions
im guessing you still need to include the call to include it ?
per the readme in the slider folder:
How to enable:
--------------
* To enable this plugin, you'll have to add "slider" to "the content of the main page" in coppermine's config in the section "Album list view". The setting should look like "breadcrumb/catlist/alblist/slider" or similar. For details, review the documentation that comes with coppermine (inside the docs folder) in the section "The gallery configuration page" > "Album list view" > "The content of the main page".
How to configure:
-----------------
* Use the additional button 'Slider' in admin menu.
by clicking the new button mentioned just above you can define what "meta albums" the slider will display...ie random or last up etc.....
same info above goes for the imageflow.....
hope that helps....
and x3....read through all the posts here and you will find your answers....as they have been asked before....and this is a main rule for these forums...also if you review other threads you will find that the admins here have little tolerance for any deviation from the clearly posted rules....and attitudes...even surrounded in niceness....generally result in permanent bans....not trying to be an ass here but just trying to help....
quick answers are that any mods to this plugin are very hard to achieve unless you know javascript ajax very well....this plugin is based upon an existing script and it appears that any changes to the display of things is rather not easy to do....read through the entire thread if you have not already and you will find what i speak of and find links to the original code this is based upon....

I am currently really short of time and cannot answer every question, but I do read everything that is written in this thread. Development for the Javascript part has started again (http://enlargeit.timos-welt.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134), and I think I will be able to realize some of the wishes. The plugin is not dead, development simply is delayed a bit for personal reasons. It is important for me to know what people want, so feel free to add your wishes to this thread. But I won't tell you a point of time when a new version will bring more features. It could be in a few weeks a few months or a year. I hope you understand.

Timo
Hi,
it's possible to add a enable or disable button for front-end user ?
:-\
The user can disable javascript and EnlargeIt! is gone completely... I'll think about a disable button, though.

I have the same updating problem while using Enlargeit. Could you expand on the "statement" you used to correct this issue using Enlargeit? I have no coding skills in PHP and have tried to find the equivalent code in Displayimage.php with no success.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Mike.
Hi Mike
Firstly, thanks to the author for a great plugin.
I just found the same issue and corrected it (I hope). I edited the "enl_cnt.php" file, adding the bold-highlighted text into the existing line as follows:
$enlcnt_query="UPDATE `".$CONFIG['TABLE_PREFIX']."pictures` SET hits=hits+1
, lasthit_ip='$raw_ip', mtime=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP WHERE (pid = '".$enlcnt_pid."')";

Hi Timos-Welt
Can u show me if its possible the slider plugin to show random files from different albums (as now) ,BUT just this size 1024 x 768 pixels. I asking u because i have many pictures in different sizes and just this size (1024 x 768 pixels) looks really perfect for me.
Thanks Ivo :)
Here is test account (im not sure you need it)
site url- http://www.abroadbg.com

password-123654
You could simply use the admin tools to resize all your images to 1024*768
I have installed this plugin and it works fine.
Just some questions:
The plugin only works with images from the actual page?
It is not possible to enlarge the last image from page one and browse to the first image on page two. You can only browse back.
Will you implement this feature someday?
What about the slideshow (not the slider-plugin). Will this feature also be implemented some day?
Timos, is it possoble to make opened picture in enlargeit! as a diffrent page with differernt address ?
I know, it is probably difficult, but maybe you know some way to do it.
That would be silly. The key aspect of enlargeit is that you never leave the thumbnails page and everything is pulled using Ajax methods. That's what this plugin is about. Using a different aspect (i.e. opening each file in a pop-up can be accomplished, but nit using this plugin. There is a load of mods/plugins available that does what you're asking for. Please stay out of the discussion for this plugin and search the board instead. If you can't find the answer, start a support request of your own on the support board.
Joachim, I think he talks about something like this (has already been posted in this thread):
Quote from: cl9m on October 13, 2008, 05:13:45 PM
for the sef_url it's maybe possible to change the url picture
with swfadress and ajax http://www.asual.com/swfaddress/ (http://www.asual.com/swfaddress/)
maybe you know this technology
This is very charming, but the script currently does not support it (yet).
Thanks Timos,
It also would be nice, if in next release, we could put some emoticons in comments, and defend them againt SPAM by using CAPTCHA.
Thanks again.

Sounds a bit nonsensical to me: do you have comments in your gallery that have been entered by spam bots using the input form on the enlargeit interface? If yes please post relevant links, but I strongly doubt that. I haven't heard yet of a bot that is capable to perform the needed steps to accomplish that. Stop requesting features that you don't actually need. Just dropping some buzzwords like "captcha" won't help. I have already told you in your other threads that it's mandatory to post a link to your gallery when posting, which you failed to do in all your postings. If you can't do as suggested per board rules, then you're not allowed to post, simple as that!

Joachim, I dont really know what is your problem.
Timos excplicitly wrote, that we can put in this topic our whishes in next release od Enlargeit.
I read board rules and i know know that posting link to gallery is mandatory. But posting a link to every each typed post, sound a bit silly to me.
Some day I ask " What time is it", and you will answer " Read board rules first and post link to your gallery"
I don't know why you are allergic to my person, but If something is nonsense here, it is your behavior

Support and time is given for free - no one wants to spend time looking and guessing - that would be silly.
I'm not ready to argue with you about the need to post a link nor about any other aspects of the board rules. Your request is silly, that's what I told you: a spam bot can not perform the actions needed to post data from an ajax-driven form yet afaik, nor is this plugin being used often enough to make it a target worth looking into for professional spammers. Your request therefore is invalid. Your entire argument is invalid. And no: if you're going to ask what time it is on this forum, we will not ask you to post a link to your gallery, but we will ban you instead because you spam our forum with invalid questions that are in no way related to coppermine. If you're going to post something that is related to coppermine on the other hand (and that's what you did in this thread), we require you to post a link to your gallery. This discussion ends now: you're banned from posting for a week to give you time to review your attitude. Next ban will be permanent and you will get that ban if you show the slightest disrespect of board rules.
Greetings,
I recently installed this plugin and loving it :) However clicking on an image does not increase the counter. I found a post on the last page where to edit the enl_cnt.php file, however this didn't fix the issue.
I'm just running this plugin, the JUpload plugin and Captcha v3.0.

No. It's meant to enable you to to go back to the image if you have picked another view like bbcode or histogram before.
Hi all,
i use the Plugin EnlargeIt! V2.15.
I have aktivated the Slider in my gallery.
When i go to the Adminarea (slider) and i will change the height of the Pictures to 110 or higher than i have allways 75px.
Can you tell me what can i do?
Gallery Version is 1.4.25

The slider height depends on the thumbnail height; sorry, there's no solution (I should have removed that parameter long time ago).

Hi,
Enlargeit and OSFLV or rphMedia can read and play .mp4 extension?
If YES that don't work on my coppermine.
If NO it's hard to make this?
Thx
The supported file types are mentioned in the initial posting in this thread. How hard it is to add support for more file types depends on your coding skills. Board rules! (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270616.html#msg270616)
Thanks for your answers,
I'use the plugin filetype for add .flv and .mp4 that's work in my gallery with JWplayer
but if I want use enlargeit and OS flv or rph media the flv work but not mp4 extension.
sorry for my english (I'm french)
That's no excuse for not respecting board rules >:(. My previous reply even contained a deep link to the board rule you failed to respect.
I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me where in the plugin I would find the code that "calls" the player.swf, with the video file to play and the associated parameters. I spent some time looking but am guessing that the calls are derived in several places. The reason I would like to know is that I wish to standardise my site to use JW Player v5. If I can find where the calls to the player originate (so I can edit them) then I should be able to swap the OS FLV "player.swf" and replace it with the "player.swf" from longtailvideo.com. The best way would be for me to add a 3rd player option but I'm not sure I have the skills or knowledge of the code in the plugin to make such a comprehensive edit.
Worst case, if I can't get it to work with JW Player myself then I hope to be able to figure out how I can put the latest version of OS FLV into the plugin (replacing the player.swf messed it up for me, even after clearing the browser cache on the test machines).
Thanks in advance if someone can tell me the file(s) to look in.
MrDee
This is the place in codebase.php where one of the players is used to display FLV files:
if ($ENLARGEITSET['enl_flvplayer'] == 1) $neu_str .= '"><img src="'.$match[2].$CONFIG['thumb_pfx'].$match[3].'" longdesc="fl2::../../../'.path2url($enl_path).'::'.$enl_flvwidth.'::'.$enl_flvheight;

Hi Timos!
Great plugin, I like it a lot. I have installed ones without any problems and everything worked fine. You can see it here (CM1.4.19.)

I am doing some testing before I run my final pages. Therefore I have installed last Coppermine (1.4.25) onto the new domain. Here is the link
http://www.tema.milanriha.cz/Gallery/
Unfortunately there is problem to install your plugin again :(. There is an error message
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './plugins/enlargeit/include/load_enlargeitset.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php') in /disk_1/www/cz/milanriha/tema/Gallery/plugins/EnlargeIt/codebase.php on line 34
any hint why please?
the only difference I see is the CM version and fact the CM is not in the root, but in the subfolder ./Gallery

The gallery that is publicly available that is running cpg1.4.19 needs to be updated in terms of security, as running an outdated version that has got known vulnerabilities that malevolent people could use to take over or ruin your entire site is silly. We're not ready to discuss the need to upgrade in each and every thread. Read the documentation that contains a complete list of reasons why you need to upgrade. Read the announcements for the new versions that explain what vulnerabilities are fixed.

That's not related to the version of coppermine you're installing on, but related to the fact that you obviously haven't uploaded all files that come with the plugin: http://www.tema.milanriha.cz/Gallery/plugins/enlargeit/include/load_enlargeitset.php (the file that the error message complains about) is not there (error 404 not found), hence the error message. Upload the
complete plugin and it will work... ::)
OK, thanks a lot Joachim. I'll check if all files are there.

Well, does the gallery where this doesn't work as expected populate the gallery URL setting inside the config, i.e. have you set up the gallery accordingly? Stop playing games. Upgrade your live gallery, then apply the plugin to your live gallery. End of the story - no more support for you unless you upgrade your main gallery.
Joachim realy thanks for your time - I have looked again and problem was as you mentioned in Capital letters of the subfolder. Now it works.
I understand what you are saying with upgrade. But as there are some manual changes necessary in the whole web structure I have to test it before I will populate the upgrade of CM onto my main pages. Now I am very close ;)

I've got the OS FLV updated now to the latest version (3.1). It "works" on FF3.6 and IE8 (with WinXP and Vista), but the only minor problem I can't get fixed is this one:
When clicking on an flv thumb the ajax popup appears at the correct size (from the dimensions in the db). The red background "play" button pops up in the middle as expected, along with a background shot from an early frame in the video. However, behind the red background of the "play" button (but above the video frame background) is a rectangle of light blue, going from the bottom left of the ajax window up to the top right edge of the background to the "play" button. Once I press the "play" button the rectangle vanishes and the video plays fine. I'm struggling to find what I need to change, because I'm guessing that the additional files and directories (with the functions, and which the OS FLV download requires me to upload) are embedded into the EnlargeIt files/directories.
I know you are most likely busy with the new version for the upcoming 1.5 release, but if you are even able to point me in the right direction then I'm up for the challenge in fixing this.
Thanks.
Please attach your modified version. GPL projects need contributors! ;) Then I'll see what I can do.

I made many edits to codebase.php and then removed most of them (the attached file is "work in progress" but, you asked ;) ). At the moment I am just renaming .mp4 files (H.264) to .flv on my server so that I don't need to add a separate file type section in the code (I will tidy that later). [The flash player always appears to look into the video file and realise it is H.264 and play it fine, regardless.] Most of my edits are to the theme.php (igames) to get the latest JW player configured, which took me some time as they changed the way of adding flashvars etc (works well now). I use this for if someone clicks the "info" button, to take me to the normal Coppermine display page, with all the info on it incl a movie which plays. By the way, I'm running 1.4.25 but applied the patches for that release manually rather than a full upgrade (as I'm sure someone will see the header text ;-) ).
I have replaced the player.swf file and am now attacking this cosmetic issue on the basis of trying to fix what needs fixing rather than continuing what I was doing (trying to find out what had changed from the version of the player included in EnlargeIt to the latest one, and then where the file content from OS FLV maps into the js code EnlargeIt uses). I also read your post regarding it not being recommended to edit anything in the plugin js directory...
There is an unrelated error in the attached file relating to a file path which I see only in the webserver log. I click on a movie (flv) thumbnail (EnlargeIt enabled) and even though the result is fine for the users (the ajax popup appears and the movie plays etc) there are always 2 or 3 errors in the server log, where something tries to call a file for Coppermine directly beneath my root dir rather than one level lower where the Coppermine files are. I am using a redirect on Apache at the moment until I find that one. As the movie file is found OK and plays, I suspect that the pluggin is trying to pull the jpg thumbnail to give to the player (?), but if this is true then the error is not in codebase.php I suspect...

I'm currently thinking it may be linked with this new feature in OS FLV 3.1 (it may be looking for a banner jpg) http://www.osflv.com/?p=624 (http://www.osflv.com/?p=624) and not finding one as I didn't configure it to.

Just to check if the idea in my previous post was along the right lines I spent some time this afternoon, and here's an update:
I figured that the actual calls to the player.swf were coming from the file in the JS subdir (the codebase file just sends the input to the actual javascript call). So, to test if the blue background was coming from the lack of banner jpg I needed to put autoplay "on" (it ignores the banner if this is turned on, according the OS FLV site). So, I edited the enlargeit.source.js and recompressed the file (zip file attached) to produce a new test enlargeit.js. The problem now goes away, though I need to do more work as I don't really want this switched on (as the buffering time while users press play is useful on some slow links). So, I need to either figure out the buffering parameter for OS FLV or learn how to use perhaps the Coppermine thumb as the banner image for the player.
I have a big issue. I'm using my Coppermine installation as a image host for a forum but when anyone clicks on an image and then in EnlargeIt! goes to the BbCode tab and copies the code into the forum, the image comes out really small :/ I want it to come out regular sized...
Here's an example:
(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.pretomeuploads.net%2Falbums%2Fuserpics%2F10006%2Fthumb_image02323.jpg&hash=c5655b9f899ad10facfb4c72653c61967f98a6bb) (http://images.pretomeuploads.net/albums/userpics/10006/image02323.jpg)

encouraged to attach (not hotlink) screenshots for illustration of your issues (as per board rules (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270617.html#msg270617))
Sorry bout that, never thought of taking a screenshot :-\ I was just thinking I could integrate it in my post with BbCode as then it would should up the same as it does on the Forum attached to my image host since, well, this is a forum. Didn't think of directly taking a screenshot in that forum.
And thank you very much Phill :) I did search but I wasn't willing to read through all of the numerous pages here so I just hit control+f on each page. Guess I didn't use a good enough keyword...
Or did I miss out on a search for within topics? Never did see one but maybe I'm just missing something?
I have a question. I also use the facebook plugin. I installed the EnlargeIt plugin to. They work good. Only not together. Is there anyway I can include the Facebook plugin in the EnlargeIt plugin ?? Maybe to include the image of Facebook plugin in the buttons from EnlargeIt ???
First GauGau I am sorry for my other post, I could not find what I was looking for in this thread (maybe I keep missing it) and wanted to ask a general question about the plugin.
I'm not currently using it because I need to change the code for posting an image to (http://url) but can't find where to make the change. I would also like to adjust the size of the popup box that appears to something similar to the picture I posted.
My php skills are limited so the answer may have been in this thread (which I read a couple times) and I missed it.
Any help would be appreciated.
What other post? I haven't time to go searching for this other post so please post a link.
We also need a link to your site and specific details of what you want. "I need to modify http://" really tells me nothing, modify to what?
He's refering to EnlargeIt, is there a way to change the BBCode (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,63390.0.html). See there for the end of the story.
GauGau when I said I was sorry I meant it, there is no reason to ban people for making mistakes on a forum they only come to for help.
As part of the administrative team you make several assumptions. There was no site to make a link to when the question was asked, the plugin CPGMark corrupted the database and the site is/was being rebuilt.
That searches were not done. Not true!
People don't know the site as well as you do and try to adhere to the rules and sometimes make mistakes. If someone is flaming or hassling people that is a reason to get banned, not for trying to become educated on your product and get help.
The (http://pic here) tag is also a mistake, the board converted what was originally posted but if you wanted to be helpful you could have because you've seen that error before haven't you.
You have an opportunity to be educators and to help people but you choose to be control freaks and not very helpful. Better to educate I believe, better to assist than to criticize.
In the time it takes you to write a negative post you could move the thread and help the person, but then everyone wouldn't perfectly follow your rules. Oh my they may make a horrible mistake!
MSCH69.
I may be no expert but this is how I accomplished adding in a box with a direct link to the image.
1. I downloaded this (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,46121.html) plugin.
2. I then edited codebase.php of the new plugin from this:
{
global $information;
global $CONFIG;
global $CURRENT_PIC_DATA;
$info['Embed URL'] = '<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" border="0">';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>BBCode:</td><td><textarea name="bbcode" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();">[url=' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '][img]' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'normal') . '[/img][/url]</textarea></td></tr>';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>HTML:</td><td><textarea name="htmlcode" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();"><a href="' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '" target="_blank"><img src="' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'normal') . '" border="0"></a></textarea></td></tr>';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '</table>';
return $info;
}
to this:
{
global $information;
global $CONFIG;
global $CURRENT_PIC_DATA;
$info['Embed URL'] = '<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" border="0">';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>Direct Link:</td><td><textarea name="directurl" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();">' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '</textarea></td></tr>';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>BBCode:</td><td><textarea name="bbcode" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();">[url=' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '][img]' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'normal') . '[/img][/url]</textarea></td></tr>';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>HTML:</td><td><textarea name="htmlcode" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();"><a href="' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '" target="_blank"><img src="' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'normal') . '" border="0"></a></textarea></td></tr>';
$info['Embed URL'] .= '</table>';
return $info;
}
Simply adding in the line:
info['Embed URL'] .= '<tr><td>Direct Link:</td><td><textarea name="directurl" class="textinput" rows="1" cols="60" wrap="off" style="overflow:hidden;height:15px;" onfocus="this.select();" onclick="this.select();">' . $CONFIG["ecards_more_pic_target"] . get_pic_url($CURRENT_PIC_DATA, 'fullsize') . '</textarea></td></tr>';
3. Then you can access that direct link from the info of the picture within EnlargeIt!
You can always also delete the HTML and BBCode lines if you only want the Direct Link.
I'm sure there is a way of doing this for the BBCode tag of EnlargeIt! too, I just haven't really looked that hard for it.
Hope that helps!

This is the announcement thread for the enlargeit plugin. Cluttering it with suggestions for another plugin is bad. I'm aware that you're trying to be helpfull, but your posting is just confusing for newbies, so please don't.
Oops, my bad. Never did think of that...
Sorry! :-X
Hi,
I have installed EnlargeIT. It works fine but I can not figure out how to maximize the photos. When I click on o thumbnail EnlargeIT shows the picture in 787*590. The pictures in the galley is 1024*800.
I have tried to use "Show button 'Maximize'" Yes and Yes, as a pop-up window but I can't see any Maximize button what ever settings I select.
