cant upload pics

hey.. I just opened a gallery and I cant upload any pics this is what it says : Failed to create directory albums/userpics/10001 !

What in the heck does this mean? Im pretty computer-stupid so simle/non-coding terms would be of great help.. please.. anybody

Read the docs that come with coppermine.

Check that the albums folder, and all folders in it are chmod to 755 or 777 (try both).

If that doesn't work, try 'SILLY_SAFE_MODE' (see the docs for safe mode issues'.
