Cannot do a batch upload

I have the weirdest problem since i upgraded coppermine 1.2.1 to 1.3 stable. When doing a batch upload you must select the directory where the new pictures are in. But since i upgraded to 1.3, i cannot select anymore. here is a picture of how it looks:

Thats in dutch, but it just asks me to select one directory where the new files are in. It should look like this (which it also did when i was still using 1.2.1):

I turned on debug mode, but it didnt show any errors. That is why i didnt post it. However, i am willing to post when requested.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem? I changed themes, looked into the documentation, searched this board, but didnt find any sollution. Please help!
