i just recently started to get this when i have been trying to upload. Did i do something wrong? I am not good with this kind of stuff so i really am stummped and don't know what to do.

Destination directory albums/userpics/10001/ is not writable by the script !

I just had my site backed up so it probly has something to do with that. Can someone please explain to me what to do.

Check the directory has the correct permissions.
If that doesn't work, try SILLY_SAFE_MODE.  See docs for 'safe mode issues'.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
