I've searched for this, I've read similiarly related topics, but I have not found the answer to my question.

I know we can give users the ability to upload pictures to a particular album, however I want to be able to
give users(even certain groups) the ability to create albums in categories already created without being an
Administrator.

Is this possible?

BTW, Coppermine is a great tool!!

Casper

No not possible.  Only admin can create albums in the general categories.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

I'm sure it has. So why is it not possible? I searched never found anything. Is this a design feature or design flaw?
I'm not sure why it's not possible?   ???

Coppermine is designed this way.  Users can have a personal gallery and can be allowed to upload in albums created by the admin.  Users will not have the permissions to create albums outside of their personal gallery.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

As this is being asked for quite a lot, perhaps it can go on the 'to do' list, as an admin settable option.

Unfortunately, this is beyond my programming skills.
