After the installation of Coppermine using Cpanel X, I edited a few settings for users, general settings, etc. When I tried to upload pictures, the photos uploaded. Then it had me place the photos in albums, when I did that, an error page came up with the error "Failed to create directory photo/userpics/10001" Everything else seems to be working correctly. I'm using PHP version 4.3.9 on a Linux server.

I got it...I renamed the albums directory.

Thank you for coming back to share the solution.

You should ask your webhost to update to the latest php since earlier versions had security issues. If they won't upgrade, and you can't move, make sure to do frequent backups.
